Heh. My parents are funny. My mom really dug Beck, Peter Murphy and Wolfsheim, while my dad was more into the Serge Gainsbourg, Tom Waits, and Veljanov. They both love Emilie Simon.

Mom on Serge: "He's got kind of a COWBOY voice."
My reply: "Maybe a French cowboy. No, wait- What the Hell are you talking about?"
She also thinks that Peter Murphy sounds like Neil Diamond, so I don't take her musical opinions very seriously ^_^

Dad on Alex Veljanov: "Wow, this guy has a really nice, clear voice! This guy can SING!"
