It's morning here in the Geek room and I'm the only one that is stirring. This is the last morning here and I'm catching up on emails and enjoying the view out the window. I just don't get to see shit like this at home.

On Monday we rented a convertible to go cruise the country side. It took us two tries but we finally got a car that the top would go down on. We cruised down to Laughlin, NV and dropped a little money in their casinos. We went through Arizona and over the Hoover Dam on the way back up. We then took a little trek through Lake Mead National Park to the Valley of Fire State Park. That was the biggest highlight of my trip. I got to drive where the scenery is just phenomenal. Lake Mead was little rustic with the roads so I couldn't just go barreling through them. It made for an entertaining drive. We all got a little more sunburned and wind burned but it was well worth it. I'll have to post some of those pictures when I get home.

Yesterday was spent on the strip. I am sooooo happy that we didn't stay down there. It is way too big and too expensive to stay on the strip. I just wanted to go home before the first 20 was dropped in a machine. We went to the Price Is Right stage show at Ballys in the afternoon. I just wanted a nap by that time. It was an awesome show!!! One of the girls in my party got called down to contestants row. If the dude right before her didn't guess the price that we came up with, she would have been on stage playing Plinko!!! Overall, just seeing her up there was cool!

DB went down and out with a headache after that show so one of the other girls and I trekked down to MGM. Bossman gave me some money and explicit instructions on what game to play and how to play it. I figured with my luck that money would be gone in a rockstar minute. I was pleasantly surprised. About 5 pulls in I hit a bonus and ended up winning $250. That was enough for me to cash out and run! I actually had luck last night with the slots. Nothing as big as that but stayed in the black none the less. Heck, I even won $60 off the Golden Nugget with their free slot money for signing up for their players club! We drank and played around Fremont Street last night before stumbling back to the hotel. DB and I repacked and called it a night. The other girls are staying until Thursday and decided to play a little more. They stumbled in around 4 with burgers. DB decided this was a good idea and ran to get breakfast too. I so wanted to run with her but I wasn't able to even get to the bathroom without running into something so I figured it wasn't a good idea. It wasn't the drunk part that kept me from walking, it was the way up from a deep sleep and try to get your bearings kind of walk.

It looks like our flight will be on time today and I'll be at DB's house tonight for a trade show tomorrow. Nothing like easing back into this work thing!!.
