Obviously I was not the only one commuting through the park today! I was very glad others had gone before me so I didn't ride off the path.

Observations and lessons learned:
+ way easier (and more fun) to ride through virgin powder than the compacted stuff
+ very quiet
- very slow
- very cold
- need better gloves or mittens
- should pour hot water over gear hub before leaving
