Exams are coming up, pretty sad to say. Yet, I'm not really revising hard as I should be. But for the sake of Japan...
Mom and I invited missionaries over to my place on Monday. They were really lovely people, and were such an inspiration. Ritsuko and James Clarke are missionaries who are relocating back to Japan to reach out to the Japanese people. Ritsuko was astonished that I was able to speak Japanese in a year, which I believe is from the Holy Spirit alone. The scary thing is, they're called to Kyoto and so is my heart. Ryu-kun [a Japanese friend of mine who got saved earlier this year] lives eight minutes by train from their house! Ritsuko's book 'Eternity' is a tearjerker and must read. What an overcomer.
Tomorrow's Halloween, I want to dress up like an ojisama but I'm not bothered to go to the tiger and meet a jungle. I'm going to Youth instead, probably going to have a prayer meet with Alex, Seth and Keegan; all in time to fire up for an awesome night. Now, when will the Christchurch Connect Group be set up?
I'm getting sick of the internet addiction phenomenon. So many different sites and lots of parnaphelia. Anyways, I'm free from that. I realise that the internet is only a digital version of you. I hardly use my myspace, or bother to update my facebook. I've not even been adding photos recently. In spite of what happens, in all we do or say, let it be for the glory of God.
My Japan mission starts now. There are so many lost Japanese people in Perth, and it's not about converting or brainwashing, but it's about delivering HOPE and JUSTICE through Christ our Lord.
One more thing, even though life may not be all rosy and lovey-dovey, I'm an overcomer. Here are the lyrics to desert song, it struck me when I was singing it in Youth last Friday.
Verse 1: This is my prayer in the desert And all that's within me feels dry This is my prayer in the hunger in me My God is a God who provides
Verse 2: And this is my prayer in the fire In weakness or trial or pain There is a faith proved Of more worth than gold So refine me Lord through the flames
Chorus: And I will bring praise I will bring praise No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice I will declare God is my victory and He is here
Verse 3: And this is my prayer in the battle And triumph is still on it's way I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ So firm on His promise I'll stand
Bridge: All of my life In every season You are still God I have a reason to sing I have a reason to worship
Verse 4: This is my prayer in the harvest When favor and providence flow I know I'm filled to be empited again The seed I've recieved I will sow
