I was going to write an "end of the year" post, but I can't be bothered to right now. Instead, here's that old survey that's been around for a few years.

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
I went to Ozzfest for the first time.

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Didn't really keep one, but I did a couple of things I wanted to do, such as go to North Carolina. :)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
None, as usual.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A life living on my own. It's unlikely, though.

7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 30th, my last day at Wendy's.
April 1st, I finished reading On A Pale Horse.
April 6th, Gindhouse was released in theatres.
June and July were good months, though not just a specific date.
Ozzfest was at the end of August.
October was a turbulent month.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting my hair cut? :P Quitting Wendy's. And, actually, mom and me traveling to Morganton by ourselves. No one was yelling at each other and we got to do what WE wanted to do for change. :)

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not doing everything I had planned to do this year.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No. I think my eye is starting to get better, finally.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The best thing? Lets see... I guess The Polyphonic Spree package that came with their album, a patch, the LP record of their album, and a poster signed by some of the members. Or the Incarnations of Immortality books. Or the Grindhouse DVDs and soundtracks. :P

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mom's, for being able to drive to Morganton and back. :) EVEN OVER THE HIGH MOUNTAIN! :O She's afraid of heights...

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Dad's.

14. Where did most of your money go?
To people other than myself.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I guess... going to North Carolina. Both trips.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2007?
"Running Away" by The Polyphonic Spree, the whole Planet Terror and Death Proof soundtracks (namely the main Grindhouse/Planet Terror theme, "Hold Tight" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, and "Chick Habit" by April March).

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. Happier or sadder? Probably about the same, which is happy. :)
ii. Thinner or fatter? Same as always. I can never gain weight, though I can lose weight easily.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Traveling. :) Yes, even though I went to Ohio, NC, and Roanoke.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
I wish I could get out of the habit of staying on the computer so long.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
It's over now, but on Christmas Eve Teresa, Vincent, Sabrina and I went to eat at McDonald's and then to WalMart, I wrapped the couple of presents I had left, then we all opened presents when Mike got home from work. On Christmas Day we got up and showed Vincent his presents from Santa, then after a couple of hours Mike, Angel and Vincent went to spend Christmas with Angel's family and Teresa went to work while Mom and I went to Kingsport to see my aunt and mamow. It was a good Christmas. :)

21. How will you be spending New Years?
We'll probably just stay at home and watch the ball drop on TV.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Nope.

23. How many one-night stands?
None!

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Don't know. I don't watch a lot of TV nowadays, but I do like some shows on Food Network and the Discovery channels. I also like Ghost Hunters.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Nope.

26. What was the best book you read?
Best book. It's hard to choose between them all, but I suppose either On A Pale Horse of With A Tangled Skein. I really like all of the Incarnations of Immortality series except for Bearing An Hourglass.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I guess either In This Moment or Lordi.

28. What did you want and get?
A really good summer.

29. What did you want and not get?
A laptop.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
You really have to ask? lol Grindhouse, of course! :) Particularly, Planet Terror. ;)

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 23, and Teresa, Sabrina, Vincent and I went to the movies to see Bridge To Terabitha, went to the mall, and then came home to open the couple of presents I got. We also had delicious cake. ;)

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Moving out.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Uh... I don't know. I just wear what's comfy.

34. What kept you sane?
Music, as always.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
El Wray from Planet Terror. I'm not one of those types of girls who gets so crazy over a particular celebrity, so while Freddy Rodriguez was good in the movie, I don't care about him as an actor. Just the character he played. :)

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The VT shooting, though it wasn't a "political" issue.

37. Who did you miss?
A couple of people from Wendy's. Jerry was cool as was Phylis.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Well, I was about to say that I didn't meet any new people, but actually, I met my cousins from New Zealand for the first time this summer. :)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Time can go by faster than what you realize, so if you want/need to get something done then do it. Don't put everything off at the last minute.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"Everything's changing when I turn around
all out of my control
I'm a mobile
Everythings changing out of what I know
everywhere I go
I'm a mobile"

- Avril Lavigne - "Mobile"

For some reason I've had these lyrics in my head through most of the year.
