DARNIT ALL WERP. You got me thinking of flowers, and now I have that "do a dallop of Daisy" song from the sour cream commercials stuck in my head. YOU'LL PAY FOR THISSSSS!! *shakes fist at the sky*
..............*cough*................
Anyways.
So, I found two of the deleted scenes from WALL*E on YouTube! I have a feeling they're probably going to be removed soon...but the real question is...do I DARE?
....Of course I do! o3o They've already pretty much been spoiled for me, anyways. That's what happens when you refuse to stay away from fandom sometimes, heheh. ^^; So, here I go...watching them for the first time.
Dumped
LAUGHING...SO...HARD. xD Oh my gosh, that was freakin' ADORABLE. I mean, for the record, I'm glad they didn't keep it. It pretty much ruins Define: Dancing, which I felt was one of the best, if not THE best scene in the movie. Plus, in the movie, EVE kisses him intentionally. That just makes it so much more awesome and meaningful.
...But I'd be lying if I said this didn't completely delight me, because it was cute, if nothing else. The classic "I fell on top of you and we accidently KISSED" gag. Does anyone else but me notice this NEVER happens in real life, yet in happens all the time in movies and on TV? I love WALL*E and EVE's reactions after it happens, too.
EVE: *spark* O______o; .....Kaaaaay, that was weird. *flies off* WALL*E: @.@ Ohmygoshohmygosh she KISSED meeee....~<3 *falls*
I think I laughed the most when WALL*E was "proposing" to her, though. Just...if that doesn't define the word 'awkward', I don't know what else does. xD And EVE's face was PRICELESS. I had forgotten how expressive she was.
So yes, it was very cute and very funny. But I'm REALLY REALLY glad they took it out, because Define: Dancing really just works so much better for the film. This was cute, though, and satisfied my inner WEVE shipper.
Now, this next one I've been predicting for months would make me really depressed, so lets see...
Garbage Airlock
....Okay, I'll admit it. There was a big fat tear in my eye just now, and I was praying no one would barge in here because I probably looked like a mess. xD
But anyways, this was interesting (And heartwrenching) to watch, but I like the version they went with WAY WAY WAAAY better. It just really makes WALL*E and EVE's relationship so much more touching, because in the film, it was EVE's turn to save WALL*E and prove how much she loved HIM. I actually don't think I would have liked the film nearly as much had this scene been kept, and thank God Pixar knew to change it.
....Not to mention, the ending was very anti-climatic. "I FIXED YOU. WE GO SAVE DA WORLD NOW WHEEE!! *flies off*" In the film, the situation becomes a thousand times more drastic in your mind, because WALL*E is hurt and possibly dying, so you're REALLY rooting for them to get that ship back to Earth. Not that I didn't care about the humans, of course, but come ON...WALL*E is crushed and whimpering, and EVE's just holding him close and protecting him the entire time. If that doesn't break your heart, I don't know what will. xD
But still, this was an interesting "what if" sort of scenario. I liked the WALL*A's (THEY NEED A GIANT EVE) patting WALL*E on the head like "Awww, isn't that cute." xD And just seeing EVE so hurt and hearing her voice was enough to make me well up. I am such a sap. But thank God they changed it.
Well, these are the last extras from the DVD I'll spoil for myself. The others I can wait to see without imploding or something. xD
Oh, and I watched The Wizard of Oz for the first time in probably five years last night. (We taped it a few nights ago). So...much...nostalgia... |
