My goodness. I started writing about December 14 and then realised that my last post was for December 3. Bleh. Hadn't realised I was that far behind... It's a bit short - bad memory and all.

Summary: Slept well on the new meds for about a week, and then it went back to normal, so a few days ago I upped the dose to 15 mg per day and so far it seems to be working. Had a lovely Christmas and New Year's Eve. Got terrific presents. Miss dear Sean. Am enjoying not having brought ANY schoolwork whatsoever. Still tired.

Also, I have decided to give the whole a-pic-a-day thingie a break. I'm not very good at it anyway, and this way I can blog when I feel like it and post the good pictures. No fun in posting last minute photos just because, I want good photos. Also, I tend to forget/downprioritise posting the photos... We'll see - I might go back to the photo thingie again.

Oh, and Cambridge! [info]quantumliquid applied for a sholarship and didn't get it, and then all off a sudden there comes an email, more or less saying 'Someone's dropped out and you're first on the list - want it? Answer within the week with snail mail!'. Heh. That certainly turned things upside down... But, we're going! Weee! Anyone know anyone in Cambridge?

December 4 - watched the latest Stargate Atlantis episode, and was happily surprised by an old friend: Clayton Webb from JAG. Oh, and my calender says that there were two litterature analysis seminars as well as a board meeting. Ah, yes. And I slept well after having taken the meds last night, too. A bit drowsy though, and felt a bit nauseous in the morning, so I missed the first seminar.

December 5 - Meeting with my thesis supervisor (gotta love that calendar), and officially postponed my thesis. Felt good.

December 6 - can't remeber if I started the book today or yesterday or something, but I'm reading The Subtle Knife, the second in the His Dark Materials trolpgy by Philip Pullman. It is, quite frankly, boring. The first one was at least enjoyable.

December 7 - went to the stable and Sean, (the horsie) and just had to take a photo of the cute little Shetland pony in the cute little box (what's it called?). Awwwww!

December 8 - Christmas guild meeting! We made lots of Christmas candy, ate tasty carrot fish, and had a very nice time. Here M is chocolate coating dates that have soaked in cognac and stuffed with almond dough stuff (mandelmassa).

December 9 - finally a photo of Sean! Here's a better one, taken today but not by me (crappy quality, though - it's capped from a video), and this is just too cute not to post. This one too.

December 10 - No photo. Don't know what I did. Oh, wait. (Calendar again) I worked on the litterature analysis that's due tomorrow.

December 11 - no photo. Handed in litterature analysis.

December 12 - Dialect discussion, and I went out and bought Christmas presents. On something for me: those wonderful socks. So soft, and long too!

December 13 - The woman who owns Sean also has two other horses. The one on the photo is Dancing, such a sweet horse.

December 14 - [info]quantumliquid's choir had their Christmas concert (and I got in for free because I helped them sell tickets at the door the hour before the concert, weee!) and afterwards their Christmas party. It was all very nice, and I sat beside a guy that, I quickly discovered, had an interest in Tolkien, and we proceeded to discuss Tolkienian stuff all dinner. Very nice.

December 15 - Sweet sweet Sean, again.

December 16 - Nauseous and hurting, period pains and icky stuff. Missed the annual Christmas gathering at one of [info]quantumliquid's friends - very sad.
Love my Christmas lights, though.

December 17 - Took a walk to buy oranges, which I needed for the cake for the litterature guild meeting this evening.

December 18 - Bought the last Christmas presents (I actually got pretty much ALL of them in the same shop!). Spoke to the doctor, who said that the test results came back pretty much all normal. Which means it's not something really bad - most likely fibromyalgia. Went to the stable, where I discovered that Sean has really warm back hooves. I put on cooling clay and wrapped newpaper over it - looks funny.

December 19 - Travel to Karlstad day. There were pretty lights at the station, but it looks on on the photo. Travelling went well.

December 20 - Everything is covered in frost. So very very pretty. Bad photo, though. Met dad, ate dinner and exchanged presents.

December 21 - My favourite café in Karlstad. M had Christmas presents left to buy.

December 22 - Still frost. So very very pretty. [info]quantumliquid and I had got tickets to a Christmas concert for dad - unfortunately he got ill and we had to go without him. Mum came with us instead.

December 23 - No photo. Mum, her partner C, [info]quantumliquid and I went up to [info]quantumliquid's parents for Christmas.

December 24 - It appears that the only photo I took today is this one, a photo of the Wall from The Art of G. R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, which I got from mum. Oh, such a wonderful wonderful book.

December 25 - No photo. Didn't do much.

December 26 - [info]quantumliquid and I went to the mall, where I found incredibly cheap garnments (underställ?) - 100 Skr!

December 27 - finished the last book in the trilogy - the last two books really sucked. A shame, I had had high hopes for them - though maybe that was the problem...

December 28 - We travelled back home to Karlstad, dropping [info]quantumliquid off on the way (he's got choir week), and stopped to eat. Giant, giant pizza. That plate is normal sized, on the bigger side. Talked to the doctor and upped the dose, see if I sleep better.

December 29 - mum had her birthday yesterday and C has his tomorrow, so today a bunch of relatives came over for dinner. That cute little boy on the photo is the same one that I held last Christmas. Man, he's grown.

December 30 - Dad and I troed out the new fast food restaurant in town - MAX. It totally sucked. The hamburger tasted EXACTLY like the ones that you can buy frozen and then fry in your fryingpan. And the chicken nuggets had the wrong kind of breading. Yuck. The only good thing I can say about MAX is their large variety of dip sauces. The curry/honey one was actually really nice.

December 31 - New Year's Eve. I managed to get a photo of the fireworks that I could see far off, behind the houses and all. Thankfully, there was less shooting this year than usual. Don't like the sound. It probably helped, though, watching films on the huuuge tv with surround sound. Mmm, nice. All in all, the best New Year's in a long time. I had the flat all to myself, took a bath with a lovely lavender bath thingie that I got from [info]quantumliquid's brother T, I had a lovely dinner (chicken mcnuggets that I warmed in the oven, curry sauce, and vegetables with garlic dip. Yummie!), plenty of snacks (mmmmm, onion crisps and cheeze doodles, and chocolate!), and watched no less than 2,5 good films. Started off with Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, which was really cool. Then the third X-men , and then I felt the need (a resolute and unyielding need) to watch At World's End (PotCIII). Mmm, surround sound. TERRIFIC soundtrack, truly. Got so tired that I saved the last hour for the next day (when I saw that and then continued with PotC II: Dead Man's Chest).

Ok, I had intended to answer all not-forgotten-though-it-may-seem-so comments and entries, but now my head is dead after this huge update and it'll have to wait. Toodles!

Oh, and by the way, I did the "Who's your daemon" test thingie over at the Golden Compass movie site, and I got a spider. *snigger* His name is Gabriel. I'm quite fond of him.
