Damsel in Distress Author: snogged Pairing: Joyce/Giles (it’s new for me) />Rating: PG-13, for hints of a sexual nature Disclaimer: Joss Whedon owns the characters. Idina Menzel wrote the song that inspired this. Setting: Season 3, but Dawn is mentioned. Summary: Giles comes to the Summers’ residence looking for Buffy, he finds something much more appealing.
The knock on the door startled Joyce. She glanced at the clock. It was 10:15 AM and both of her daughters were in school. She inhaled sharply when she saw the outline of a familiar man in her doorway and looked down at her current outfit. She was still wearing the light blue silk negligee that she wore to bed most nights. It made her look innocent but sexy. Or at least that was what Hank always told her.
She walked to the door and opened it. “Hello Mr. Giles. Can I help you?”
“Is Buff…?” The librarian’s voice trailed off. His eyes locked on to the luscious looking housewife standing before him. His tongue made a clicking noise and he adjusted his glasses.
Joyce blushed when she noticed how he was looking at her and in turn, she eyed the muscles rippling under his shirt. “Would you like to come in for coffee or something?” She felt something stirring within her. It had been so long since she had felt a man’s touch.
“Sure.”
“Mr. Giles,” Joyce said. “I was wondering, if you weren’t busy that is, would you mind looking at my garbage disposal. It’s making funny noises.”
“I’m not a plumber, Ms. Summers, but I’d be glad to take a look at it.” He had always felt like a quiet geek but she was making him feel like he was Prince Charming.
He flipped the switch that operated the disposal, heard the grinding noise, and turned it back off. He reached his fingers in and pulled out a spoon. “I think this may be the problem.”
“Thank you, Mr. Giles,” Joyce blushed. “Now would you mind helping me with another problem? Now, if I’m not being too forward I’m sure someone with your expertise will be able to help.” She smiled seductively and batted her eyelashes.
“Not at all, Miss.” Giles murmured, as Joyce led him up to the bedroom. ******* “I know I must look a sight/In this--this flimsy little dress/Won't you try your very best/To save a damsel in distress?” Damsel in Distress by Idina Menzel
