(this one long story)
when I was in japan we had very little music to listen to so the little music I did have I listened to allot and it made a big impression on me. One CD we did have was a Dylan CD with various live tracks recorded through out his crearer. My pick hit was 'Boots of Spanish Leather' he did a great version that makes the origional studio version sound like luke warm wimpieness. It is a song about a woman going away to spain and asking her lover if she should send him any thing from spain, he says no just come back, she says well I will be gone maybe a long time are you sure? he says your kisses are the only thing I want, better than all the treasure, she says later I don't know when I will return what can I send you? he finally realizes that she is leaving him and he says 'beware the west wind, watch out for stormy weather, oh and there is something you can send me, spanish boots of spanish leather'.
so when my last girlfriend was going away to spain last year and I did not know if we were broken up or not (we were) I told her to send me spanish boots of spanish leather. she did not understand and i did not explain it.... when I saw her on sunday (i'm not over her by the way) it was actually good to see her until we started to interact and she treated me like a disease and I saw her new lover then I felt like some one cut open my guts with a rusty jagged saw. But I am ok and if she ever talks to me again the only thing I will talk to her about is pantie lines and where the hell are my spanish boots

heliotrope
means following the sun like how plants move twords the sun
It is also the name of a great local music festival that has all the undefinalable music acts of the city. Many of my favorite musicans play at every year and I discover new bands that I end up loving. I started to under stand Milo Fine for the first time at heliotrope and first saw Davu Seru there also Paul Metzger puts forth his best every year there also Mute Era, skoal kodiak, white map, dave krecji, Thunderbolt Pagoda michael Yonkers with blind shake  are some of the bands that I associate with this show. What makes it even better is that ING the band that I am in has gotten to play there the past four years,  so not only do I get to play with the awesome people and great musicians in my band but I get to share a night with my favorite local  musicians. I used to think she was the greatest thing ever
I still like her alot but not so fanicatical, two reasons for my waning enthusiasm: her newest album and seeing her play live
(come on at least pretend you want to be there)

I used to not believe in SZJ until i saw this photo which was taken with the hubble telescope


walk-ins
a 'walk-in' is a spirit from else where that takes over someone's body. In The new age the idea of it is that someone is through with this life and they willingly give over there body to a spirit that comes here from some cosmic crown chakra to help the messed up humans. When ever I pass a shop that says 'walk ins welcome' I think of a bunch of higher life forms in human bodies sitting around complaining about what a pit this plane of reality is. I like the idea of an evil walk in that takes a body through stealth and does not have the intention to help and I save that as an excuse for when I really fuck up.

it is pronounced ongaku it means 'music'
the first charactor is made up of two smaller characters
'stand' and 'the sun' and it means noise
(i always remember what it means because if someone was standing on the sun
they would be screaming making lots of noise)
the second character means 'play' and it is a pictogram of someone playing taiko (japanese drum)
(if you add the character for grass to this it becomes the character for drug)
so sound plus play means music
I added it to my interest list when all my new favorite bands were japanese psychodelic bands
