Personal note; two quick updates...

...only 68 degrees most of the time. I don't understand why this particular shawl is magically warm, but I can vouch for the fact that it is. So I'm going to post the pattern for that shawl at the crochetcrochet community page, in case any of you might want to make one for yourself. Once that's done, I'll post the link for the pattern here. This, I can do without any help from my SFWA webperson.

So not the Happiest piece i've ever done...

Little Tom Riddle has joined the bunch! Miserable little bugger, but less scary to look at than Voldy -_^ Kind of annoying to have such a surly square, but where would we be without him?! xox X:posted - starknuts, crochetcrochet

Substituting Yarn?

Hello crochetcrochet friends, It's fall here in MN and so I am busy crocheting hats and scarves for my friends. My friend has decided that he likes that "Flappy" pattern found on CrochetMe, and that he likes a Reynold's "Lopi" Yarn. Ok fine, it will be very warm for him while he's on his bike. However...the pattern calls for DK weight yarn and "Lopi" is bulky weight! This wouldn't be a problem ...

GREAT SUCCESS

..., not just the border!). The whole afghan took eight months. This is my magnum opus (coined by my roommate, who's seen the process from day one). If I ever talk about doing another Tetris afghan, punch me in the face. Without further ado, under the cut are two moar pics. I...don't know what to do with my life anymore. x-posted to crochetcrochet and geekcrafts

This city is afraid of me. I've seen it's true... hat?

In honor of my massive crush on Rorschach love of the Watchmen comic/movie, I decided to make a hat inspired by the Rorschach mask ! (Hatschach?) Made with Dr. Manhattan spin-off fabric Caron Simply Soft, left over from the Jolly Roger sweater , and heated implements to re-seal the latex a 5mm crochet hook. I made a hat I can look at in the mirror. (A better shot of how it ...

Quite the long shot, buuuut...

Hey hookers, I'm currently studying abroad in France, and while my shrug project will probably take me a while to finish still, I'm still hoping to find another project to work on before I leave//for the trip back, with a different type of yarn (not to mention finding a gift for a yarnie back home). Any inquiries to my host family or other french people as to the location of a yarn shop has ...
