...longer a carrier. But I don't want this infection to cause more deep-seated problems in the long run. Anything at all is most appreciated, including criticism of anything I'm already doing. The only thing I can't do is put him back together with his brother, as the vet has advised against that. Thank all of you in advance! (Entry cross-posted to cathealth and spo_prevention .)
WOOOOOOOOOO! ETA: Here is the first post about Brie, for those of you who have not read it. After no sleep at all, Adam and I started the seven hour journey to Austin at 5:00AM yesterday morning. We got into Austin at 12, changed, and prepared. When we entered hill country, we took out Kothmann's initial rebuttal to our complaint. It is filled with so much pure venom and vitriol neenering ...
Howdy all! After quite a bit of online searching and not being able to find anything helpful, I've come here with a question. (Perhaps I've just been looking in the wrong places.) Follows the line of this question , but looking more for a resolution. :) We have a wonderfully crazy ball of fur named Sara whose only point of complaint used to be being extra-vocal. Now (for the past few weeks) ...
The past two days I've noticed in the area of what looks like the urethral opening on my female cat some redness. Also looks swollen. Otherwise she is acting normal and eating fine. Plan on taking her to the vet first thing Monday, was just curious if anyone has any idea what it is, possible external signs of an urinary tract infection? cross posted in catlover and cathealth
I posted back awhile ago when I got Connor ( here ) and then I lost my internet connection. So, I really haven't been on LJ much anymore. I got a hold of the person who gave me Connor and she is now stating he was born on July 29th, which would make him OLDER, I would have had him when he was 9 weeks old. I have pictures of him, and hopefully you can do a rough guess at his age? These were ...
I posted a few daysago about the possibility of my cats eating a razor cartridge. Well, none of the cats showed any signs of distress and I could not locate the cartridge. I assumed it went under the fridge. But I was also concerned that it was still somewhere in the apartment and they could still play with it. This morning I found it on my bedroom floor, peeking out from under a pile of ...
This site has some really interesting facts about the biology and behavior of cats. here are a few that I found particularly interesting Why do cats have so many babies? Nature was kind to cats when it came to guaranteeing the survival of their species. First of all, your cat can get pregnant as early as four months of age. Plus, the feline reproductive cycle is set up so that the female ...
I posted a few daysago about about my sister's cat Oliver who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I'm happy to report that after 5 days at the vet, he is now home and his blood sugar levels are down. It was 447 on Monday, and 270 when he was released on Saturday. They didn't want to bring it too low. Today he had a check-up and his levels were a little bit higher, but it was also close to ...
Well, after rescuing the bridgecat ( http://community.livejournal.com/cathealth/2074402.html ) I finally came into a bit of good luck. The Animal control center didn't want to adopt her out as she had a bite record, so i was going to have to pay some $300 to reclaim her. :| Thankfully, though, on the day I was in there one of the vets overheard, and insisted I be allowed to adopt her, paying the $...
Just posted this a few hours ago. Ended up calling the vet that spayed her, just to see if they had Sunday hours (per their voicemail). They actually have an afterhours line, and the girlsuggested I take Penny to the e-vet. Off we go, and the vet (same one that saw Tootsie's little runt, if you recall!) checked her out and felt all around her belly. Said it just be a suture reaction, or just...
