if i broke my frakking toes tonight, i am going to be PISSED.

after work, life_unexamined seemed especially tired, so i tried to take over the child-rearin' ASAP and, after dinner, ended up taking them for a run. all of them: ruby on the leash and declan & kate in the stroller. it's not a double stroller. we just make declan let kate sit in his lap, like so. it seems to do the trick, although it won't for much longer. and i don't run very fast anyway. so i ran them up the bike path to the new park and then ran them back, coercing them away from the park after only 3.5 minutes (i accidentally forgot to stop my stopwatch, that's how i know) due to the fact that (1) we had forgot to bring shoes for katie and she doesn't like to walk on mulch barefoot (yet) and (2) with promises of extra fast running, on which i delivered.

broken toes are sure going to put a crimp in my style. good thing running shoes are so snug.
