This song is very VERY important to me....I knew right away it was a meaningful one for Keita and me, even though I didn't understand the words at first. One thing I was able to figure out very early on, though (and considering my lack of understanding at the time, amazed me), was that the Song title "僕が一番欲しかったもの" or Boku ga Ichiban Hoshikattamono" - The Thing I Wanted Most.

I'm going to post my version of the translation here, though I know it is very VERY rough. I have yet to understand all of the nuances and sensitivity of the idiom, especially in lyrical form, so....Please pardon my mistakes, and please PLEASE help me with corrections if you have the time!!! This song is so special to me...I'd really like to know what I've screwed up and to have help correcting and understanding it better! Here goes, though....First my English translation, then the Kana.

The Thing I Wanted Most

A feeling suddenly hit me...(I can't work out the end of this phrase)
"If only there were someone out there..."
Then one day, I found that someone!
This wonderful thing, now above me,

Such a precious feeling I have now raised up, but,
Had I searched for this thing at any other time,
Could I ever have found anything more wonderful?
