Christmas were only one minute away, and still, no low music danced through the wall, neither happy smiles were shown on people faces. For me the only thing left was the dull gray tune of my solitude.

How come on a holiday like this I encounter myself here, grieving over the missing feeling that you’ve plunged at me when saying that soft see you tomorrow this evening? You can only imagine how envy I am of you mother and father, how much I want just to hug you the way your family can right now. I don’t know why I’ve told my mother that I wouldn’t be going there for Christmas. Maybe because I’ve hopes that you would be here with me, both of us lost on our embrace, on the warmth of our feelings. Silly me.

I wished that I could have the courage to tell you why I had refused to go home for the holydays, why I’ve chosen stay here on my apartment, but on the moment you said, with that smile of you, that you would be visiting your parents for Christmas, I just couldn’t ask you not to go. I couldn’t be that selfish as to deny you a little time with your family when we clearly have none.

I left a soft sigh, turning of the television just in time to hear my doorbell ring. Who in the hell could be at my door at… 12:00 pm on Christmas night ? I barely spared it some thoughts, probably someone that got the wrong apartment. What I surely didn’t expect was the image that faced me when I opened the door. The frown adorning my face quickly disappeared at your sight.

- Sorry… I… didn’t really expect you to be here… but I’m very glad you are though.

There stood you, slight out of breath, a soft shy smile adorning that cute lips of yours, head cast down, hands wrapped themselves strongly on a little package.

- I though you were going to your parents for Christmas Kai.

I saw his eyes widening in surprise at my flat tune.
- I… You’re supposed to be at your too weren’t you ?

just now I realized that I’ve never told him that I’ve refused my moms pleads for me to go. I let a sad smile adorn my face, dismissing his answer with one of my hands and opening the door wide for him with the other.

I was making my way back to the couch until I realized that he weren’t following me. He still there, on my doorsill, looking at his shows, like mourning something over in his head.

- I.. I.. sorry, I just realized when I was on the read… that…
- Kai ?
- Please Ru, let me finish. I’ve just realized that I’ve better spend my night with you… than.. I just wanted to see you , and.. you know, give you

Our gazes locked and I then realized how cute he were. His cheeks were flushed red, his eyes sparkling a little too much to be dry, one of his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt and the other holding the package forward to me.
I dumbly get the package, slowly undoing the paper, just to have the air knocked out of mu lung.
- I’m sorry I just wanted to… will you..
- Kai ?
- hai ?
- I would love to be your boyfriend.

I felt more than saw his head snapping up, looking to me right into my eyes. That lovely smile of his showing itself in full bloom.

- You’ve just made my night, you know that Kai ?
- Hn ?
Once seated at my couch, my head laying down on his shoulder while his hands holding me tight over my waist I just figured it out how everything got brighter on the end.

- I refused my mother’s pleads to go there for Christmas.
- Hum ? But Why ?
- You see Kai, you’ve just said to me that you were probably spending it alone here, since you weren’t very fond of driving this time of the year. That, of course was before you mom call you almost threatening you to go there. I then realized that I anted nothing more than to spend it with you.
- Seems like on the end you got your Christmas wish ne ?
- I sure did.
