My body is raging with a fever from ripping muscles too aggressively the night before while working out. My brain is exhausted from three solid weeks of pushing forward. I have exactly one nail painted glittery sea green. I haven't been able to take a walk all week because of the blistering heat. It's the one way I know to pull back from the kind of intensity that results in a day like this where I feel like I'm falling apart because I pushed too hard. It is possible to be way too focused.

It's 7 pm and the sun is setting. I keep watching my Weather Bug to see if it's cool enough to walk out to the Arts District. It's still 86 right now. I'd like nothing more than a good dose of meditative perspective while wordlessly communing with the world.

I'll have to settle for a long candlelit bath with the last remaining bomb I have and a glass of Sangria or a Kir Royale.
