Yesterday nearly killed me. I can't do that whole sleep a couple of hours and get right back up thing that [info]__wolverine__ does all week. After two days with three hours of sleep, trying to get another disco nap between full schedules just didn't go over well with my body and it protested.

I went out to Beverly Hills to have lunch with the Reverend Tommy Gunn and pick up assets for our upcoming show. I am quite lucky to know a number of interesting, articulate, and self aware artists. I spend so much time working and chasing the next accomplishment, I forget to take time out to just be with these people. I tend to reserve that time for [info]__wolverine__ because it's always rewarding. So lunch out in a perfect Beverly Hills day, even with very little sleep, was just delightful.

By the time I returned home, I was shaking and unable to think straight. I had one more meeting at 9:30 pm with Karl to do strategy for Tax Me Deadly. I wanted to give him some show flyers as well. Everything about my desire to push off the meeting screamed that it was irresponsible as the earliest make up date I could furnish from my overly scheduled calendar was Tuesday. That was cutting it very close. But the reality was that I had quite literally walked all over various parts of Los Angeles and kept very long business hours for four days solid, having a total of eight hours sleep. My body was threatening mutiny if I didn't stop. We rescheduled. And even then I was still up for hours. I just wasn't walking anywhere nor keeping to a time table.

I turned on the news at 3 am, prepared to fall asleep to the drone of news anchor patter. I was curious about the supposed attack on Iran that Russia was predicting. Nothing happened. It was a very boring news morning - ideal for falling asleep.

My meeting for today was canceled due to the other party feeling under the weather. I won't pretend that I'm not relieved that I don't have to put clothes on, get dolled up and go out again. I have an article due on Monday I wasn't expecting (though logic dictates that every two weeks I have one due). I'd like a day to just gather my brain cells from off the floor and let my body recuperate after all the activity.

As a side note that only a handful of people will understand, [info]the_angelus is The Man. I have had two situations requiring a little support and he's not only stepped up but he impressed the friends of mine on the other end of those situations with his grace if not cool factor. Nicely done!
