So a few days ago my brother and I went to a little party with members of the highschool marching band.  It was okay--free food, free drinks, got to play Guitar Hero.  Rather a nice party.

Except for one thing: how annoying I found my brother to be.  I'm not sure what sparked it (actually I have a pretty good idea) but suddenly in the public setting I became enraged when he did the littlest thing.  He commented on my art another kid was looking at, tried jumping into a conversation I had with two other kids about Naruto, and tended to scream a lot.  Now I'm wondering how our relationship will be when school starts.  We'll be going to the same school and I definitly want to have lunch with him.

I guess I can blame the annoying behavior on the fact his ADHD medication wore off (or he didn't take it).  So perhaps it'll be better at school.

Speaking of school I want to try for Anime Club President.  I've been with the club since the beginning, when I was a freshman, and think I can do this sort of job.  I've got plenty of experience, ideas for fundraisers, and rules which the club should follow.  Only problem is the time it'll take.  I've got a busy schedule this year studying for four AP classes, the SAT and ACT, and working on my art portfolio for colleges.  So, all-in-all, not a whole lotta time on my hands.

But I think I can do it.

Now back to the party.  It was okay.  I finally got to play Guitar Hero and now desire the game.  Too bad I don't have a Wii or an X-box.  Too bad.  There was this one girl there who I think is the most awesome person in the world.  She set a Tickle Me Elmo on fire, put a Firby in the microwave, and set a Pikachu on fire.  Cool!  But remember kids: don't try any of those things at home.  There's plenty of videos on YouTube to keep you happy.

Anyway, at one point a kid informed her that I wore a Deidara headband (aka rogue-nin Iwagakure headband).  She said she loved me, like most fans would do, and held out her arms.  I thought she wanted a hug.  But when I stood up and did, she looked kind of weirded out.  I guess being a Narutard isn't the same when you're not at an Expo where people glomp you randomly.

Anyways, I've been thinking about me and my brother's Tobi and Deidara cosplay.  The collar, I've realised, isn't accurate.  I've noticed this for a lot of other cosplays.  The collar tends to bend inward whereas the official Akatsuki uniform collar stands straight.  I'm not sure how one would do that.  But I'll try to do that for brother's new cloak.  I'll probably sell his old one on eBay.

Another thing about Naruto and my brother: at a potluck we had on Friday a little girl pointed out my headband.  She then went on to talk about Naruto and a game she had.  She said Gaara was almost impossible to beat.  I just smirked and said "Oh, he isn't so tough."  I couldn't bring myself to say any spoilers, telling her a one-armed blond beat him.
