My dad was gracious enough to allow me to drive a bit today at Winslow Park (we went because today is my mom's birthday), and I didn't do anything wrong, nor did I hurt anything ("Yes, because there was no one around" was my dad's confident answer. Betch)!

He stopped in the middle of the road (towards where the dock there is) and was like "Okay, we can practice here", and when I first got in I was so freaked out that I ended up going way too slowly. Like, 7 MPH slow. After I got out, he turned it around and said I should go again. This time I did better, and got up to about 11 MPH (which was reasonable for the area).

My big issues are staying in the center of the road and braking. With the latter, it was just that I pressed it too hard when my dad told me to stop. But I feel good, since my biggest concerns proved untrue: I didn't go too fast like my first time driving; I didn't zone out or lose focus; I didn't brake with my left foot; I didn't put my hands too high on the steering wheel; and I handled the steering mor or less well enough.

My father told me not to be so nervous, and that I need to have more self confidence. Pfft, I've gotten along fine without it till now, I'll be fine.

On a whole other note, I'm on a big Coldplay trip. :D

Well, Baccano! is basically 1930's USA with immortality... And TTGL basically has humans in slavery until a certain point, and then when the humans are above ground they put the earth in danger. Yeah, gonna go with Baccano!.
