Summary: When Taguchi Junnosuke makes two people have a  breakdown in the middle of the sea.

Words: 2,450

"This is my deckchair!" yelled a young woman with long brown hair who was wearing a yellow bikini.

A young man with black hair sighed, trying not to give her a big punch. "Are you crazy, damn woman?! Yours is still in the car." he replied.

She crossed her arms and looked into his eyes with boiling anger. "You jerk. Only thinking about yourself... What an egoist." she said before turning around with pride.

He threw the deckchair away, breathing hard, like there was fire in his eyes. "Sawajiri..." he murmured like he wanted to kill her.

Lying down on a beach towel, her feet playing with the sand, a beautiful young woman took off her sunglasses, rolling her eyes at the two people who were yelling around some seconds ago.

"When will these two marry each other and stop pissing off everyone...?" she wondered. "That Ryo-guy really doesn't know how to do with girls..." she said, sighing.

She was about to take a book and read while her back was having a sunbath when two excited people called her.

"Yuinyan, Yuinyan!"

She shivered and turned around, sighing when she saw Taguchi Junnosuke and Ishihara Satomi running towards her.

"I told you to stop calling me that!" she shouted. "My name is Ichikawa Yui..." she mumbled, hiding her face into her book. "Anyway, why are you two so excited...?" asked Yui.

Junnosuke and Satomi smiled at each other with complicity before looking back at a perplexed Yui. "We found two motor boats!" they exclaimed, laughing like children.

"Eeeh... What's so exciting about that...?" Yui mumbled again, putting her sunglasses on.

"Actually," started Junnosuke, "One needs a little repair, but I can do that!" he said jumping around, not noticing that Yui wasn't listening anymore to him.

"Yay! Taguchi-san is the best!" said back Satomi, jumping around aswell.

They were both acting like children once more while Sawajiri Erika and Nishikido Ryo could be heard while arguing for some sun cream. As Junnosuke saw two familiar people, he immediatly stopped jumping around.

"Ah, Yamapi!" he called.

Surprised, Satomi looked in the same direction as Junnosuke and smiled. "Maki-chan! Over here!" she called too.

The tall young man walked towards his friend, followed by a small young woman. Yamapi and Maki explained to their friends that they were making the registration at the hotel and Junnosuke lead them to the two motor boats he found with Satomi.

"This one needs to have some things fixed," said Junnosuke pointing a boat, "but you can use this other one."

Yamapi didn't have a reaction; since the beginning, he was kind of in a bad mood. Afterall, it was still morning.

"Wanna try?" asked Satomi, overexcited.

Maki looked at Yamapi who didn't answer a thing. Afraid that Junnosuke and Satomi might be upset, she agreed.

"Sure, we will." she said with a smile, pushing Yamapi towards the boat and getting into it.

As they started the motor, Junnosuke waved goodbye and Satomi smiled, telling them to be back before noon so they will all eat together, since Koyama, Toma and other co-stars should have been coming later.

When Yamapi and Maki were becoming two small shadows at the horizon, baka Junnosuke turned around to the other motor boat, ready to repair it.

"Yosh!" he exclaimed as Satomi was clapping.

Yamapi was lying lazily in the boat, his arms crossed behind his head and his eyes closed, while Maki was taking a look around them, finding the landscape beautiful. She smiled and then looked back at him. She pouted a bit and she pressed her index finger again his leg.

"Yamashita-kun, why aren't you saying anything?" she asked.

"Hmm." he mumbled. "It's only morning, I just wanna sleep." he said.

She sighed. A silence settled between them during some minutes but as Maki saw a young man surfing on a huge wave with talent, her little fist punched softly his shoulder, calling him, because she was all excited.

"Yamashita-kun! You must see this, since you like surfing! Yamashita-kun!" she kept on calling.

"Aaah! Stop hitting me!" he mumbled again, turning around, trying to sleep. "Leave me alone."

Maki frowned, getting angry and glared at him, not noticing that they had gotten really far from the coast.

"Ah, this is weird." said Junnosuke to Satomi who was taking out some rice balls.

"What?" she asked.

"There's nothing wrong with this motor boat..." he murmured.

Both Junnosuke and Satomi were silent, when suddenly, Junnosuke's eyes widened and Satomi, with an afraid stare in her eyes, looked at him.

"Aaah...!!!"

They both guessed it.

Maki tried once again to restart the motor but it was useless. Becoming afraid, she called Yamapi once more, not caring if he was still sleeping or not.

"Yamashita-kun!" she called desperatly. "Yamashita-kun!"

She was pulling him by the tee-shirt and it forced him to finally wake up and open his eyes. But from his glare, she could tell he was really pissed.

"What do you want, again?" he moaned like a sleepy teenager who didn't want to wake up and go to school.

He stood a little up, rubbing his eyes. Maki was already panicking, looking all around them, realizing that the coast was nowhere to be seen. They were lost in the middle of the sea - or something like that.

"What's with the fearful look?" asked Yamapi, staring at the young woman who was keeping on trying to restart the motor boat.

"It's not working anymore..." she whispered, her voice shaking.

Yamapi wasn't convinced about what she just said and came closer. "Let me try."

He tried to restart the engine several times but with no success. He opened it, trying to fix some things but the result was still the same. Seeing that, Maki's fright increased. Yamapi sighed and sat down. He was silent during some minutes, wondering what was wrong.

"This one needs to have some things fixed," said Junnosuke pointing a boat, "but you can use this other one."

Junnosuke's words came back to his mind. Yamapi breathed hard, only wanting to strangle him if he only was in front of him.

"That Taguchi idiot... HE GAVE US THE WRONG BOAT!!!" he yelled madly, looking at the sky with red eyes.

Looking at the endless sea, Junnosuke and Satomi were all worried. Junnosuke had a tearful stare and ran into the water, followed once again by his co-star.

"Yamapi, Maki-chan... PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" he shouted, his hand reaching for the sky.

"Gomen nasai!!!" shouted aswell Satomi, holding tight on her skirt, almost crying.

And they stood there for several minutes, crying like babies, hoping to see their friends coming back - but how could they.

"BWAAAH!!!" cried Maki, tears rolling on her cheeks. Her eyes were all red, she had been crying for almost an hour.

Yamapi sighed; he had already handed her his handerchief and couldn't do anything else for her. "Why are you crying like a little baby, Maki-chan. You're always abusing me verbally and now you're crying just because..."

"We're lost!" she cut. "And how can we get back to the coast? We can't even row!" she complained before crying again. "I wanted to see Ikuta-kun." she cried.

Yamapi felt like boiling again. "Oh that's great. I was also hoping to see Gakky, she was supposed to come at noon too." he said back, angrily.

"I'm hungry." said Maki, whiping away her tears and not caring about what he just said.

He just felt like hallucinating. That girl could really be a little child sometimes.

Several hours passed by in arguing, crying, staring and trying to find solutions to finally get back to the coast and to where were Yui, Ryo, Erika - and of course the two idiots who had gotten them into that crap, as had said Yamapi. The sun was setting and Maki couldn't stop looking at the beautiful sky that was turning orange.

"A so romantic orange..." she whispered, closing her eyes.

"What did you say?" asked Yamapi coming closer and looking in the same direction as hers.

"Don't you find the scenery pretty?" she asked smiling.

He didn't want to blush in front of her and turned his head away. "Hm. Yea." he simply answered.

Maki sighed. "Yamashita-kun... You're so strange today..." She smiled evily and her face came closer to his. "Maybe are you shy...?" she whispered.

"Wh-What the Hell are you..." He suddenly turned his head back around to face her as he wanted to finish his sentence while looking straight in her eyes, but he only ended with a silence and so an unfinished sentence.

Maki was quite surprised too and didn't say anything. Their faces were awfully close and only some inches were separating their lips. They could feel each other's breath falling on their faces and Maki couldn't help but blushing. Yamapi gulped, cursing that damn sunset sky. Suddenly, he simply stopped breathing, his lips making their way to Maki's, wanting to make the distance between them disappear... but Maki's stomach rumbled.

They both looked away and moved so they would both be at each end of the motor boat.

"You're really hungry..." said Yamapi.

Maki was really embarrassed. "So what... We didn't eat since this morning."

And they went silencious again.

When night came, it was harder. Maki was hungry, but quickly she felt cold and Yamapi too. They didn't wear much clothes since they were supposed to stay at the beach, to surf, to sunbathe and then spend the night at the wonderful hotel they had found together. Maki was trying to sleep and to fight against the cold curved like a ball in the little boat and Yamapi was lying next to her.

"Are you okay, Maki-chan...?" he asked softly.

When seeing her like that, he didn't want to argue with her anymore. He simply wanted to hold her, to protect her and...

"Of course, I'm not." she answered angrily.

Forget it, he wanted to drown her so she would stop being aggressive to him. But when she started coughing, he pulled her by the wrist and forced her to lie in his arms. He took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders. It wouldn't warm her that much, but he hoped that she would be okay in his arms.

Maki was surprised once more. Her shaking calmed down and she looked up at Yamapi who had his eyes closed, trying to sleep - maybe. She didn't protest and closed her eyes too. She could hear his heart beating a bit fast, certainly as much as hers. Maki felt warm when his arm gently went around her waist, his hand rubbing her arm.

She smiled. "Thank you, Yamashita-kun."

"You were too noisy with your coughing." he said back.

But instead of getting back at him, she giggled and it surprised him. Yamapi acted as he was falling asleep, but it was nothing like that. How could he? Some minutes passed by when he finally dared to ask her something that was on his mind since some time already.

"Maki-chan?" he whispered.

"Hm?" her sleepy voice moaned.

"Maybe... do you like Toma?" he asked about his best friend.

She didn't expect such a question but she was too tired to open her eyes or to yell at him and ask what was that weird question for.

Seeing that she wasn't aswering, Yamapi insisted. "Maki-chan?" he said louder.

She sighed. "Aaah! I'm trying to sleep!" she shouted, making him jumping a little.

"Are you crazy?!" he shouted back.

But she quickly went back sleepy. He sighed but smiled at her cute face, her little fist pressed again her lips. He waited for some moments to pass and his fingers played with her short hair, making her shiver. He kept on rubbing her head to make her fall asleep sweetly. Maki held him by the waist, smiling while getting into her dreams.

"Ikuta-kun is nice... But Yamashita-kun is still the number one." she answered to his question.

Yamapi's heart skipped a beat, but he smiled. And proudly, he closed his eyes to fall asleep too. He knew no one could be better than him when it came to relations with Horikita Maki.

"Faster, faster! They're just here!" commanded Erika.

Ryo tried not to throw her into the sea. "I can't be faster than the..."

But when they had finally gotten next to Yamapi and Maki's boat, Erika just cut him. "Shut up!" She smiled. "Oh, Maki-chan, Yamashita-san!" she called, happily.

Ryo boiled. The previous day, everyone was surprised to see that Yamapi and Maki were nowhere to be seen. Junnosuke and Satomi acted strange the entire day and they decided to tell everyone what happened only when the sun was setting. Of course, everyone wanted to strangle them and then to throw their bodies into the sea, but Ikuta Toma - who joined them at noon with Gakky and some other co-stars - said with diplomacy that Yamapi and Maki were grown up people and that they could survive for a night. Plus, it would have been dangerous to go look for them with another of Junnosuke's found boats, so it was better to wait the next day, rent a new motor boat and rescue Yamapi and Maki. But that mission was handed to Erika and Ryo - mostly because Toma, Gakky and the others had to go back to Tokyo and because Yui couldn't stand their arguing anymore. And so the poor Ryo was now at his limits.

Yamapi and Maki woke up because of Erika's loud voice. They had been sleeping in each other's arms the whole night and so they were a bit embarrassed, especially with Erika and Ryo seeing them like that. But since they were so happy to be found, they just quickly got into their friends' boat with sleepy faces.

"Nee~... I can see that it you enjoyed your little breakdown in the middle of the sea!" exclaimed Erika with an evil look. "I wonder if you guys didn't break the motor on purpose!" she said before starting to laugh.

Maki blushed and Yamapi glared at her. "Great friends, coming to look for us only the next day..." he said to Ryo.

Ryo's eyes widened. "Really... Why is it always my fault..." he started, getting mad.

"Because it is." added Erika before he could finish his sentence or even yell at everyone.

"You damn woman!" he spouted, with eyes on fire.

Maki laughed, interrupting them. "Why don't you guys get lost in the middle of the sea too?"

And Yamapi looked sweetly at her - but still with a prideful smile. Still. Because he was the number one.
