October 20th, 2008 – “Accusation” City at Peace was hanging out at some kind of park/playground area. We were going to have a performance of some kind later in the day, but until then we decided to have fun and walk around. It reminded me of last Saturday after rehearsal when I and a dozen other people hung around National Mall for a couple hours. In my dream, it was very cold outside; I got the feeling that it was winter. Everyone was very bundled up and shivering and we all walked close together. There was a jungle-gym of a sort that we walked by and a couple people jumped around for a little while.
Then the dream switched to the inside of a moderate-sized rehearsal room, maybe a little smaller than the space we have at City at Peace. We were walking around and making eye contact with each other, until a security officer came in. All of us stopped to look at him. He looked really angry at us, just like a police officer would at a bunch of kids, right? He accused the City at Peace cast members of having inappropriate behavior towards the cops around the area. He wasn’t really specific, but I got a feeling it was about people flirting with the officers and being “sexually inappropriate” or something like that. He started listing names of people he suspected were being inappropriate, but only one name on that list was from c@p. And it was mine. I was of course, shocked. I mean, seriously, I’d never to anything as stupid as mess with a cop. But, the police officer made his decision and wanted to take me in and I guess arrest me. But, the officer asked us if we thought any of those people shouldn’t be on the list. After a few seconds with everyone looking at each other, I saw Turhan raise his hand a little sheepishly and said “I don’t think Aria would do that.” And suddenly there was a rush of people “ditto” and “yeah, she wouldn’t” and “definitely” and stuff like that. I felt very reassured that everyone in the cast was as confident in me as to go against what a police officer’s word in my defense. I didn’t see, or at least I didn’t remember, the reaction of the police officer. Then, I woke up.
