I am so tired today. SO TIRED.

Today I went to the bookstop beside central market... not to buy books, but to get some free coffee. I had a coupon that I had printed from online, and the store locator said that this was the nearest one. I was going to use the coupons last weekend but then I forgot, and they expire on Friday, and so I stopped by there today. But then they didn't even have a coffee shop and I went and bought some books anyway.

I updated Ubuntu today, from fresh rather than just an upgrade because it has been having some memory issues and I was hoping that it might help. I left the home partition intact and that helped a whole lot in terms of not having to fix all of the settings the way that I want them. So far the only real change has been that the screen resolution is 1680x1050 rather than the 1900x1200 that I was somehow managing to use even though my monitor wasn't supposed to support it. I miss those extra pixels.

Today I also got 2.5 pounds of ground beef delivered from Omaha Steaks for $1.98. Which isn't a bad deal or anything, but it was supposed to be 5.5 pounds for $1.98... a much better deal. But the company changed their minds after the order had been placed and confirmed by email and withdrew part of it, claiming that you couldn't combine a gift certificate with a free-with-any-purchase item. Of course there was absolutely nowhere where this was was spelled out (and the free with purchase offer very clearly specified that there was no minimum purchase), and the order went through... but they changed their mind. People who later got the gift certificate had the stipulation that it was $25 off with a purchase of $100 (that's not a gift certificate, it's a coupon). So I was lucky that I place my order early enough that the $25 gift card could cover a just-barely-over-$25-purchase.
