I think a lot has happened since my last post. I can't really remember what was going on when I posted last but I can summarize:

I have a full-time sub job working with SPED kids till the end of the semester, yea! And EVERYONE in the room across the hall (another SPED room) wants me for the entire next semester (after Christmas) so hopefully that will work out because I LOVE those kids to death in there and that's the room I want to be in!

We adopted a new dog, Lacey, a 7 year old greyhound/border collie mix from IMPACT Animal Foundation. She is mostly black with white on her chest, paws, and snout. We got her 3 weeks and 3 days ago and we've literally taken her out to the dog park to run and socialize every day since we got her except for one (big storm and the dog park was flooded). And we're making friends with a lot of folks (and dogs) out at the park because we see the same ones every day ..so that's cool too! She is a very sweet girl who aims to please and follows us around the house everywhere. She is always very excited to go to the dog park each evening and jumps (fairly high for a 38lb dog) with all 4 feet off the ground when she sees the leash, its really cute! She also does a trick where she crawls across the floor for a treat ..so cute! I'll be posting pictures soon.

Uhm what else ...I've had 2 more kidney stones and 2 more sinus infections since my last post, yea! *rolls eyes* In fact I'm trying to get rid of one of the kidney stones AND one of the sinus infections right now, bleh!

Oh and in other health news, I was in the ER for 4 or 5 hours Friday night trying to get an excruciating tooth/mouth pain under control. Turns out it was a really bad abscessed tooth and I'm going to be getting that pulled next Wednesday, after the infection is gone...I'm on antibiotics now. The good news is that I found a new dentist that I like so far, but he hasn't done any pulling/drilling yet so the verdict isn't completely set in stone yet, but a friend loves him so I think I'll be in good hands.

We've added another "outdoor kitty" to our feral colony. Well, he added himself when he started showing up to eat with White Kitty and Brown Kitty 1, Opossum 1, Opossum 2 and Raccoon. He is a short hair brown ..kind of looks like a brown tabby except he isn't striped, he's spotted. He looks a lot like Egypt until he gets up close and you can see they aren't stripes. We named him this morning - Nile, because "Brown Kitty 2" was getting annoying. He's the only one of the outdoor bunch that we've named. He's pretty young and he actually isn't feral in terms of being scared of people (just lives outdoors and judging from the quality of his fur and how thin he is, doesn't have an inside to go to - at least not anymore) ...he loves to rub all over us and get petted and all that. He's pretty young too. We're contemplating taking him to the vet and getting him neutered and shots and all that, 'cept we don't have the dough for that right now ..what with just having adopted Lacey and the holidays coming up. So until we can afford it, we just play with him outside, feed him, and strip all our clothes off to wash and shower before we touch our kids (don't want them to get anything he might have) =/ He's SO sweet though, and he totally wants to come in the house ...especially right now when its getting cold at night :( Stupid dilemmas.

Hmm what else...man I was on a roll with updates and now I'm brain farting.

My sister brought us 2 loaves of Pumpkin Bread the other day and that was AWESOME. But now its gone. And I'm sad. Time for me to make some I guess.

OH! So I went to RenFest today with the kids from school. (They have it opened during the week to schools to bring groups of students). The schools get discounted ticket prices (ours were free for us, not sure how much, if any the school paid) and most of the merchants have discounted prices on all their items. I could have spent a fortune today easily. Gilean23 took of work today and came with us, so that made it even more fun! Unfortunately, because we had to fit it all within the school day, we only had a good 4 hours or so there and I didn't get to do everything I wanted. But Gilean and I will probably be going back ourselves so we can take it all in. AND we got a wooden wind chime and a candle holders.

...AND we got Peaches' Christmas present at RenFest today and she is going to flip out I think when she sees it! Its killing me that Christmas is still 2 months away because I want her to have it NOW! I'm hoping if/when we get to go back in a few weeks, that I'll get to do some more shopping for other people ..because we were just too rushed today. Fortunately though, we did get to set in on the Carillon show which is one of my favorites so that was good!


I'm sure there is more but I can't think of it and its getting late.
