Personal Summary:This story is set in an alternate universe, and written masterfully by Lady Karai. Her story is original and unique, depicting the characters in a realistic world (how's Earth for example?) with realistic events that happened here, on EARTH, being told of in the story and even holding background. She manages to twist each reality into a story that gathers all of the characters we love in Kingdom Hearts and FF7 and brings them together in a real world. With a touch of fantasy.

The story begins with a loud crash outside of Leon's house. He discovers an unconscious, bleeding and injured Cloud and brings him in, and his neighbor Dr. Kadowaki treats him. When Cloud recuperates, Leon becomes suspicious of his mysterious manner and questions Cloud. Cloud admits that he is not from Earth, and is called a "Skywalker"(not Star Wars, fools). Skywalkers are beings that traverse the universe, on gates and pathways (better explained in story). Cloud escaped from the other Skywalkers in hopes of his own freedom, having been made into one against his will. However during his escape and because of his injuries, he is unable to leave his point of arrival and find a safer destination. This leaves human Leon in charge of someone who is capable of more strength and speed than any normal human possesses. It isn't long before the other Skywalkers, friends and foes alike, will find both of them.

The characterization in this story is by FAR the best I've ever seen. And that is in terms of keeping the characters IN BLOODY CHARACTER in a reality NOT THEIR OWN. Cloud is STILL Cloud, as if he was plucked right from the FF7 universe and tossed into it (which technically did sort of happen, read the story, the background is great!). Leon's great as a widowed husband, Zack and Reno makes appearances and both are absolutely on par. You've got folks from KH such as Sora and Kairi, and even Riku shows up. Sephiroth, also, with the Remnants, and Organization XIII also. All of these wonderful elements are caught into a story that has immediately soared to my favorite spot simply due to the wonderful way Lady Karai presents the characters.

I am not kidding when I say they are quite simply, the most IN CHARACTER kept characters I've seen in fanfiction. This is entirely up to debate with your own opinion, but in mine (which is damned picky), for her to receive such outstanding ovation means something. PLEASE give her story a read, leave a review. It's absolutely wonderful.

She's got a sequel in the works, it hasn't been posted yet. It will focus on Riku's journey as a Skywalker. I'm more into the Cloud aspect of it (obviously), but chances are I'll give it a read also simply because I enjoyed the story that much.
