Well... my laptop has shut itself down over 50 times today. It's a bordering on 60 at this point. And I have no idea what to do.
I'll be in the middle of working on something and the screen goes blue, telling me "Windows has detected an error and needs to shut down to prevent further damage from happening to your computer". That's all very helpful and everything, but it does it every few minutes, and when I turn back on the computer everything I was working on is gone.
Mainly the problem seems to be with 'Win32.exe' but also my laptop shuts itself off because there is a 'PAGED_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA' with 0x0000007F, 0x0000008E and 0x0000005O. Now I've done everything the blue screen tells me to do to counter the problem; reboot the system, turn off BIOS setttings such as caching, check disk space and memory settings, etc.
I can't keep on working like this, all of my work is getting deleted. There's no way to switch off my computer's helpful 'switch off in a crisis' mode, so I need other alternatives.
/>Does anyone have any ideas what I could do? I gave it to my dad, an IT consultant, and he reinstalled the whole system and installed new antivirus software, but it hasn't fixed anything. Before sending it away and losing everything on the hard drive, can anyone help me?
