it's about time that i did some updating. it feels like a lot is happening again.

first off, i'm moving. i think i made mention of my dad retiring from the navy sometime in an earlier post. that means that we've got to move out of belmont park. i shall no longer be a parkie! that's okay. i certainly don't hold much attatchment to the place now that i've grown up and grown away from what goes on. belmont park is definitly has it's own little isolated community. i've made some very good friends out of the people that i've met, but you see lots of bad things as well; a lot a family problems, a lot of marital affairs, a lot of bad parenting.

anywho, my mom was looking into a house that we've always really admired. it turned out the outside is amazing as house from outside and my mom fell in love with it. with it being a little out of our price range, and after being told that there were many applicants, the chances seemed fairly slim. but we got a call back and were offered the place! we're still only renting it, but the place is massive. you may recognize it; it's a heritage house on goldstream that has an oriental style to it. it used to be a bed and breakfast. i get to live in the loft! i'm so stoked. it has it's own bathroom and an area with a sink and counter space for a small kitchen area. i think technically it's the master bedroom. i've really been feeling like i need the autonomy of my own place lately, and this is awfully close to that. my room will be almost three times the size it is now. hopefully i'll have some sort of housewarming party, or just hold out until my birthday. we get the keys on wednesday, but we're renting out both places so that we can bring stuff over gradually. i'll post pictures when i can.

i'm feeling a little overwhelmed with school, which is to be expected from university. i've been keeping on top of most things, and doing a lot better than previous semesters, which is rewarding and far less stressful. when i'm not doing homework (or rather instead of doing the homework that i should be doing) i've been watching though season 1 of heroes. i absolutely love the show, and somewhere along the line i missed on episode and never was able to catch up. i didn't want to see the next one before the one i missed, so i just bought the series instead. hopefully i'll be able to catch up before the third season is over. hah. and i hope is stays as good the whole way through.

it's bob's birthday on monday, and then i'm supposed to be going to dinner with him and his parents on wednesday. i knit him an awesome scarf for his birthday seeing as though he insists on me not buying him a gift. i'm kind of really nervous. hah. i'm cool.

there was a girl on the bus today who had a freakishly long second toe. like... it was considerably longer than the big toe. she also had long toe-nails, which is one of the grossest things to me. i hate nails. i always cut mine so short because i can't handle when they start to look like claws. thinking about nails and having them scratch on things makes my teeth hurt. am i strange?

i feel like i haven't seen anyone in a while again. which is mostly true, actually. my schedule is kind of lame in that fact. it's very conflicting with everyone elses' schedules. i haven't even seen bob since last weekend. ugh. but i'll see him tomorrow, and that'll be saweeet.

i'm a little concerned about voting, seeing as though i haven't quite decided yet on who'll i'll vote for. ideally, i would really like to know better what exactly the candidates in my riding are standing for and what kinds of things they plan to do in my particular community. i understand the general platform of the particular parties, but i'm less concerned of the national level and scope of things. apparently there's a candidate meeting of sorts coming up soon, and i might participate in that and get some better ideas. oh, and a political side-note; i'm so glad i'm not an american. i don't  even come close to fully understanding the politics behind it, but isn't $700 billion planned to bail-out the economy better spent on, oh i dunno, the people that really need it, instead of investing it back to the rich? to be honest i can't even fathom how much money that is or the number people you could help with that much money. dear china, quick! now's your chance to become the leading superpower!

i should play my guitar some more. i really don't want to work tomorrow.
