Making a new journal. I'm over the last one. Once you vent, it just...goes away i guess...i'm feeling quite Zen-ish right now...

I saw the first HELLBOY recently...twice...the reason for the delay in me fulfilling my Hellboy needs was because my mother thought it a tad...DARK...and i tend to like dark things...but my mother doesn't like that...she often repeats the phrase 'Stay close to the light'...excuse me while i laugh...'the light' in the ranch=Hypocrisy. I KID YOU NOT.

ANYWAYS! Getting back to the point. The first was very good. The CGI was 'meh', but overall, HELLZ YEAH.

There was an animated version playing on Cartoon Network (Toonami technically), but i couldn't watch it a while ago when it first came out for the same (excuse me) IDIOTIC reason.

I saw HELLBOY II: The Golden Army WITH my mother (weirdly enough) a week after it came out (July 11th) on the same day Dark Knight came out. (i will see that soon too, i love all things Marvel and DC)

CGI: PERFECT!
Storyline: AWSOME!
Characters: EXCUSE ME WHILST I FAINT!!!

Elaborating on the Characters, Abe (blue) was his awesome self, he's my second favorite, can you tell? Hellboy (red) was...himself...what more could you ask for? I love when he looks at his opponent, then says 'Krap' quite matter-of-factly.

I can't stand Liz for some odd reason...unless it's the one in the animated series...i have NO idea why...

Prince and Princess Nuada: OMGOODNESSGRACIOUSLORDALMIGHTY! Princess Nuada was awesome concerning her powers and interest in one of the characters (i won't say, you'll just have to go see it!)

Now PRINCE Nuada. Excuse me while i spaz, flail, and perform other fangirl-ish rituals. Luke Goss (the actor) WAS WICKED!!! :D
His fighting skills were...just...beautiful to watch...like an art really...I personally think i've developed a bit of a crush...

(SIDE NOTE: If you've read the Pendragon series, i think Luke Goss would be a PERFECT Saint Dane if and when the movies come out.)

In short: GO WATCH IT DAMMIT!!!

Afterwards, Toonami played two animated Hellboys. The first was the Sword of Storms (i saw the last half) and the second was Blood and Iron (which i saw all of). Both were epically wonderful.

Oddly enough, after my HELLBOY spree, mother got me a chibi-Hellboy keychain (didn't she say it was 'too dark'? i'm totally lost here...)

I think my mother is forcing herself to like the same things i do. (she was totally silent {odd for her} when i watched the edited version of Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp {on TV, can't watch R rated movies}. She usually makes comments when it comes to witches and beheadings. SHE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING WHEN I CHECKED-OUT ALL OF THE VIVIAN VANDE VELDE BOOKS THE LIBRARY HAD TO OFFER!!! {her writings are considered 'dark' if you don't know her.})

Ah well...
