In other news, The Wild Rose Press. In the last installment of The Perils of A Wannabe Romance Writer, the editor assigned the Faerie Fate query had emailed requesting three chapters. That was Sunday evening. I emailed them Monday morning and started on a last just-in-case edit of the rest of the manuscript. She emailed me back acknowledging receipt and stating that she'd be back in touch within a month. Tuesday, I got an email requesting the full manuscript. ACK! I'd found some weak language usage so I madly edited Tuesday afternoon, night, and Wednesday morning. I sent it off Wednesday morning. So...I've reset the clock. Again.
I have TWO full manuscripts out for consideration. Not slush pile babies, but in the hands of EDITORS! *hyperventilates* I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic. The odds are against me...but I'm further along than I've been in years! And I'm learning. I'm becoming a better writer. I'm becoming more astute and "marketing" my work to a publisher.
So, despite the bathroom fiasco, waking up at four this morning with major leg cramps, a bout of intestinal flu in the family, the anniversary of Mother's death yesterday (weird crow stuff going on yesterday and today but I need to think about the significance), and just life in general, this has been a pretty darn good week!
