Finding myself of late paralyzed with anxiety when looking inward, with pessimistic doubt of the future of the human race when I look outward, I find there is no way to try and summarize it without rambling. I don't want to ramble at this time, so instead, a snapshot of my irritation:


Occasionally, one of the local companies our lab buys supplies from will send a delivery person with the supplies. One particular company sends this nice middle-aged bordering on elderly fellow who seems to have a genuine air of goodwill about him. Often cheerful people annoy me, but this dude is nice.

So yesterday, dude comes in and sets a bag of slide covers on my desk, I sign for it and give him the check and we are generally "^___^" during the brief exchange.
After nice delivery person leaves, AoC, who is part time and has never seen this person come by, is all, ">:|" and goes, "Who was that?!"
I explain that he's the delivery person from one of the vendors and AoC says something to the effect of, "I didn't like something about him."
I'm all "o_o?" because delivery dude is nice.
She's all mumbling, "his shorts...something seemed wrong about him.."
Me: "... o.x?"
AoC: "...mumble mumble...Homo.."
Me: "What?!" *surprised because when she said something was "wrong" with him, I was thinking, you know, wrong as in actually something wrong.*
AoC: "You didn't think so?!"

There was some kind of interruption that ended the exchange, and I was left wishing I'd had the presence of mind and/or time to say something. Bloody hell, freaking dark ages loonies. I never stopped to wonder whether this nice fellow was gay, because quite frankly I don't give a damn. It's his life, and anything that says being gay is wrong is fascist fairytale BS. What the hell does it matter to AoC if the nice delivery dude likes to sleep with other dudes? I prefer to dislike people based on actual stuff that matters, such as whether they're assholes or not. This just goes to show how damaging religion is. Every time this co-worker vomits forth ignorance, which is rather often, it's reasonably certain there is religious idiocy underpinning it.

Oh, and. I think someone on soulseek is trying to cuss me out in a romance tongue because I banned them from downloading from me. This is what happens when you don't share your files, don't expect others to allow you to download from them. Anyone happen to know what "MIERDA CULIA MUERETE" means? =P I'm rather ashamed I can't easliy figure it out, given my fascination with languages. I've discerned so far that "mierda" is apparently "excrement" en españól. Classy.
