So boys and girls, here I am!! Enfield, N.London. How exciting!! have only just got internet working, that's why I haven't updated, sorry to all my avid readers....ahem. Anyway....tonight is night four of my life in London. Pretty weird having my own house and living with people and the like!! I'm living with two boys, Sam and Steve, and hopefully a canadian girl called Dawn...who is supposed to be here but had major problems with her visa and got sent home :( so prayers for that would be wicked. Since I arrived on Weds I have....
- got to know the boys - watched the departed (not worth watching), Just Friends (again, always worth watching) and half of king kong. - met about a billion people whos names I need to remember - kept my room tidy!! - read the bible every day :) wonder how long that will last.... - found my way around Enfield, started to work out buses after walking to Lock in the rain. not good. - seen a funeral procession with a full on brass band playing when the saints go marching in....weird experience - seen the new academy building, which is amazing. - been to London for the day...and got rained on. All day. gr. - discovered that bush hill park station is NOT closer than Enfield town.
To let you know: If I talk about Kat, she is my line manager here in Enfield so has quite a big affect on my life!!
We go to training residential on tues, and until then all we have to do is go to our churches tomorrow and meet another billion people before we go away.
Exciting times!! the house is lovely, the boys are really nice, I have a view over London from my bedroom window...what more could I want!!! |
