Something you might enjoy reading in the meantime is Mostly Dead by un_related. Frank and Mikey go to the Monreoville Mall, Dandy Beckett has a ridiculous hat, and Ray is the motherfucking princess. The story is tons of fun and has real substance to go along with the froth and bubble -- it's not easy to find an even balance between tragedy and comedy, but this hits it. Sorry Audz, but it's got that pairing you won't read it in, woes.

My father responded to a slightly deranged email from me yesterday with "you need a holiday", and he is not wrong; I am much with the overtired and flaky because I haven't been sleeping very much. But I ran up the big flight of stairs at the front of Southern Cross Station the other evening, because no matter how tired I am I am alive and the sky is blue and the weather's warmer all the time and life is so cheap, so easy to lose, a mouthful of a meal cooked in the wrong kind of oil, but I'm still here right now and I still have the chance to tell the stories I thought were going to die with me, and that's a high that's hard to harsh with weariness.
