Random musings on a Monday night......
1) I just love Neil Patrick Harris.  His Barney fills me with joy! Seriously -- I think my awesome gland swells every time he's on screen. (And WOW does that sound awkward. But it's still true)  His delivery of every line just kills me. I'm watching "Bachelor Party" and of course the debauchery he inflicts on everyone else is HILARIOUS.  But seriously -- how adorable was that "rescue trip to Lilly" flashback? And I quote:

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. 'Barney, what are you doing here? I can't believe it's really you! Come in, have a seat. Do you want some tea? I know the apartments small, but I don't need much space. Let me show you some of my paintings. I think it's some of my best work ever.' Just STOP IT. Lilly, you have to come home. You and Marshall belong together. You two have something that most people search their whole lives for and never find. I know you love him and if you knew what he was going through right now you wouldn't be here for one more second. I bought you a ticket home. Marshall is one of the best people I know and it won't be long until someone else realizes that and you'll lose him forever. I can't stand the thought of that happening and I cannot keep stealing chicks from him forever. Never EVER tell anyone I was here -- I will deny it tooth and nail. This trip never happened."

And the fact that it was the most self-centered jackass on the show makes it all the more sweet somehow. I adore him. Seriously.   Seriously, seriously.

2) FLASHPOINT.  Don't know if I can buy Keith Mars as a SWAT guy, but I'm sure as hell going to try. 

3) I am not a fan of Papa John's new wheat crust.  I got it tonight in an effort to somehow reduce the bad factor on my BBQ chicken pizza and am sorely disappointed.  The taste is good but the texture is for shit.  V disappointed.

4) Design Star is kind of awkward this season.  What is going on with these people?!? So many of the designers that started out strong (I still love ya Matt) are just failing now.  No one's really stepping out to shine. And can Tracy PLEASE go home? I cannot even look at her anymore -- my heart goes out to the folks that having to live with her in that house. If only she could be the unfortunate victim of some random, terrible decoupaging incident...

This show is making me really miss Project Runway. 

5) The B-Boys and Breakers are rocking SYTYCD this year! I love Twitch/Kerrington (although that Paso was TERRIBLE) and Joshua/Katee -- both of those dudes are seriously bringing game this season.  But my new fave couple (up from the dark horse position) is Mark and Chelsea.  How amazing are they? Every week they just NAIL it.  Something tells me Chelsea might actually win this whole thing.

6) My bedroom is finally clean again -- all is right with the world.

7) Firefly is so freaking good, I wish I could watch it for the first time all over again. Not remotely kidding.  I love it so much it makes me want to hunt down some stupid FOX programming executives and subject them to some seriously wicked kind of torture.  Like lock them in a dark room for three weeks with "Viva Las Vegas" (minus the Hugh Jackman bits) on a perpetual loop.

8) tlace posted the link to this awesome article today and I enjoyed it so much, I felt the need to share the joy.  It's basically a discussion about the state of TV by a number of fantastic TV actors including NPH, David Duchovney, and Rainn Wilson to name a few.  Because the stupid link thing doesn't want to work right now for some unknown reason, I'm just going to paste the URL here:

10) "Waitress" is an awesome movie.  Go, watch, love. Kerri Russel is just lovely, Nathan Fillion is adorable, and the execution is just fabulous across the board.  Honestly -- I don't think you'll be sorry.  It's bittersweet (emphasis on the sweet), genuine, and completely heartfelt and I dare you not to be moved. 

11) Hodgins (on Bones) is such a hot geek.  Seriously, seriously hot.  His brain is super sexy, his eyes are gorgous, his smile is endearing, the curly hair makes my hands itch with the overwhelming need to grab it, and the bod ain't bad either.  And when he gets all sincere and emotional? I MELT.
