This year is totally haunted. First Heath Ledger died and now I heard that Patrick Swayze has cancer. And that actually affects me more than Heath Ledger's death, yet I haven't read about it in any of your journals. So maybe I have different priorities.

It's just that basically grew up with Patrick Swayze movies. And apart from Dirty Dancing, Ghost and Donnie Darko (and boy how I LOVED North and South), I'll always have the biggest of respect and admiration for his role in To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar.
He played a drag queen in that one, along with Wesley Snipes - I still think it's pretty awesome that this guy also played Blade, seriously badass vamp + drag queen, gotta love that choice of roles - and John Leguizamo. It's a great movie about tolerance and respect and about loving yourself, being your own special snowflake. You get the gist.
It's a remake of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, both movies worth checking out.
