So, two days later, I'm still very much stuck on Watchmen. It had been a very long time since a work of fiction shook me up so hard.

Of course if you haven't read it yet, DO IT DO IT DO IT. It's supremely clever, enthralling and, well, disturbing. Usually I can read books very fast, and never pause because I need to finish it. This one took me three days, because at times I had to put it down as i felt I couldn't handle it, or that I was too tired to properly grasp everything. 
What really disturbed me is that I have a huge tendency to read characters in black and white : either I hate them or love them (it's my sanguine temperament, what can I say? All that log throwing upon the English...), and I just couldn't do it there. There was no character I ended up hating, and, apart from the first Silk Spectre, there was no character I truly ended up loving either... I felt like I was supposed to empathise with Dan and Laurie, but couldn't really...

I read there were a lot of Dan/Roschach shippers... urgh. I mean, to me, Rorschach is the absolute definition of asexual, and their friendship screamed of bromance between a gentle man and a antisocial discovering gingerly trust..

Actually, and I need time to get used to the idea because it's been disturbing me a lot, the couple I was the most interested in was The Comedian and the first Silk Spectre.

And I'd never read a comic in my entire life. I just bought it on a spur of the moment thing because I saw it on Amazon, and..well, there you go. :D
