Gabriel found this stuff for me. I've been going to the local cemetery every day, to draw the old gravestones there. Some of them are really pretty. I was quite taken with two, in particular. A man with a military grave, and beside him, his wife, with a very beautiful, and ornate headstone. John Thomas Crowe, and his first wife, whose full name I'm not quite certain of, as various sites list it differently. The headstone, however, lists it as being Minerva E. Crowe, nee Breckenridge. So, I've been rather diligently working on a drawing of their stones in particular. As I've spent four days there, for over an hour each day, I'd grown fond of them, and curious about them. I'd mentioned such to my darling, amazing, WONDERFUL Gabriel, and he found information for me. So, first, the cemetery itself.

I'll also link to the two informational sites about his life.

Another BIG thank you to Gabriel for finding these for me, and I'll post my own personal pictures of the graves, which I intend to take tomorrow, as soon as possible.
(P.S. I got sunburned today while drawing. Silly Bird. *Whacks self on head* Must remember sunscreen from now on) |
