Had a pretty busy week. Monday I worked (school work) all day then Tues TAd in Surrey until about 6, and when I got home we started getting ready (by playing skip bo drinking games) until we left for Deftones. We had a great time, the band was good but we moshed the whole time and had big smiles/laughed a lot. We could def tell we're aging tho, I was ready to go about half way through the concert (soaked and muscles sore from jumping) and both were worn out for the rest of the wk. haha

Wed I met up with a friend at a sushi place I've never been. There was a little water moat all arond the sushi bar that was in the centre of the room, and little boats came around with plates of sushi on it. Pretty cool I thought. Thurs we went to a forensics conference at school. The keynote excavated/examined a lot of the mass graves in genocides that have taken place in the world and also was the lead examiner on a major serial killer case. It was really awesome to listen to him, because it was about forensics but also a lot on laws, barriers to conducting those kinds of investigations and a lot on the emotional side of things - weird and disturbing to see a grave with 200 skeletal and sometimes mummified bodies, no matter how much you have seen I guess.

Saturday we were supposed to volunteer at the Pride Picnic in the Doggie Daycare, but they didn't end up doing one (sad for us) so we stuck around the park for a bit then went for a walk through some of the trails in stanley park and saw a racoon eating a rat and then a bunch of baby squirrels being all playful/sneaky trying to get shells that were around us. Very cute. We caught up on UFC Sat night at a buddies place.

Kind of sad that so many ppl are gone for the bday. Telle  is gone to a conference in the U.S. and then home and will be back on the 26th. Shane left yesterday for customs training in Quebec and won't be back for 2 months. A couple of other ppl I'm not as colse with but still like to party with are gone as well... despite that Meg and I are having Double Trouble Sat.... an e-mail will be sent later today. We're both twins but twinless so we're going to substitute for each others and head to Five Point for 5.50 doubles. Can't wait :)

This week I'm finishing transcribing the devil tape and hopefully finding a place that's free for my next group discussion (if anyone knows of anyplace let me know!) I guess I should stop procrastnating on that now.... rock the defence tomorrow Mary and Happy Birthday Meg!!
