Dr. Steven Novella of the ever awesome podcast The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe has some wonderful posts up at NeuroLogica describing how the main goal of the intelligent design creationists is NOT to define their religiously-derived idea as "science", but to completely change the very foundations of science to accept supernatural causes as scientific explanations of phenomena -- or that someone could say invisible unicorns cause electromagnetism by vomiting photons which we measure as fields and light waves. Without any actual evidence of that of course. This was patently evident at the Dover trail when Discovery Institute fellows flat-out said this which lead Judge Jones to rule that ID was creationism with a globbed-on coat of paint.
