This kind of made me happy. Lots of people price goudge and sell parking spaces for football games for their own personal profit - so it's really cool to see people choosing to give to charities instead. (Of course, the spots in front of apartments and stuff are still likely going to higher prices in order to pay for someone's beer that night, or in order to add to their normal rental charges.)
Still, if I could help the wetlands while attending a game, I'm all for it!

In other news, work is exhausting. But I think it's in a good way. However, when you're attempting to introduce yourself to clients and they never answer their phones, it's kind of annoying. >.< Heck, I'm playing phone tag while trying to arrange an in-person conference with two different state agencies. Grawr. You'd think they'd want to meet with me, since I'm the one who'll be helping the state save hundreds of thousands of dollars. Meh.

Renaissance Fair this weekend... I was pulling my old dress out of storage and it looks as though I've lost all the laces (for both the skirt and bodice). Er... so, maybe I won't be going in costume after all. I might run out to a store tomorrow and see if I can find something that will work. Maybe my seester would be willing to run to Jo-Ann's or Michael's with me. ::puppy-dog eyes:: Maybe she'll also let me borrow her ironing board and iron for a while so I can press the wrinkles out. ^_^;;
I wonder if my hair's too short to do a Dutch crown... it'll be my first time without in five years, if it is. ::sob:: I remember back when my hair was long enough to wrap around twice. I can't wait for my hair to grow out again. Especially now that my pony-tails are simply nice rather than adorable. |
