Kevin is off work today working on the floor. I don't envy him that job.

I am bored to death. The phone is barely ringing. Traffic this morning was nil. I have nothing to do at work, really. I hate days like this. I think next year I may plan to take a couple of days off in August and do things at home.

The highlight of my afternoon will be meeting Kevin for lunch!

Kevin has his second interview with the company in Slough tomorrow afternoon. I am possibly more nervous than he is about this.

This Saturday morning we catch the Eurostar to Paris from Ebbsfllet Station. Our train journey starts gods awfully early – I think we have to leave the house at 4AM to drive to Ebbsfleet. It was a cheaper journey than the later trains, so we wanted to save some money. I think we arrive in Paris at about 10AM, which with the hour time difference means the train journey is just a little bit over 2 hours. I plan to sleep on the train. All I need to do is get on a train and I am OUT. I am generally asleep before we reach the Chunnel.

When we get into Paris I think we are going to check our baggage into the hotel – the hotel check-in isn't until 2PM and then visit Napoleon's tomb and the museums there. I've visited the tomb before, but haven't been to the military museums. Then we plan to take a late afternoon nap.

I can't tell you how much we need this break. We are both stressed so much. I just want to be with Kevin away from the job search and the house and the installation of the floor. I want to look at pretty and historical items in museums and I want to eat good food and drink good wine.

Our next holiday break won't be until the beginning of December to Austria.
