As any poker player in the world will tell you, poker sucks. Big time.

Over the last almost year I've been playing HULHE (heads-up limit hold 'em) on FTP (FullTiltPoker). I got into poker about 3 years ago, but it wasn't until Richard Brodie (Quiet Lion) came into my life that I started winning. Well, most of the time. Obviously there are going to be swings any time gambling is involved, but come on.

Overall I'm up well over $1000 on FTP (which is great, considering that started from a $5 transfer). Over the last 2 months I've had some serious swings that have almost made me cry. First, I won $700 in about 3 days playing a $5/$10 cash game. Then, as luck would have it, I proceeded to lose about $900 back. After this lovely losing streak, I went back to playing HU SnG's, which are slightly less volatile, and got on a VERY positive run, winning 46 out of 60 SnG's. I eventually got back to where I was before the roller coaster started. Since then I've hit another losing streak, though I've slowed down my play, hoping that in a day or two it won't be quite as bad.

I hate dealing with change, loss, everything involved here. I really wish I could quit, but as an overall winning player it would be very stupid to quit, especially knowing it'll all turn around in the long run. I just wish there was some way to slow the bleeding, so to say.

So yeah, as I said, p0cker sucks. Maybe I'll see you at the tables someday (preferably on one of my winning days! :-)

PS. Since I'm on the topic of poker, I should probably warn you that there may be hand histories posted here at random. *shrug*
