unfortunately were not part of my genetic code. Well, maybe a "fat, old gazelle"... /:-\ hehehe
I decided yesterday to take the fast route down a few concrete stairs in a parking garage on campus. When I stood up, one of my toes was pointing in a new direction, and the big toe nail on my right foot was bent back at a 90 degree angle. Ew....
So, with the help of a stranger depositing me at the door to the hospital next door, I went to the ER to endure about 5 hours of x-rays, a nerve block on my big toe to bend down the nail (holy helllllll the hypodermic needle to anesthetize "dancing around the bone" hurt more than anything), and some drs, a PA, and an RN poking around at my knees, ankles, and feet. I didn't break anything, but I dislocated my 2nd toe on my left foot, and gave my ankle a bit of a sprain.
If there's a silver lining here, (which there is) I got to spend the day with C, who, like the saint that he is, came to take care of me and keep me company. I am such a lucky girl. :)
BTW... Percoset is funnnnnnn :)
