I've just brought Petra home and right now she has flopped onto the red carpet and is lying there. I suspect she may be a grumpy, or bewildered or sore or... something. Her left hind leg has a couple of stitches in it from the removal of the pin. It is also rather withered and it makes her look kind of Frankenkitty. She won't put it on the ground and when she tried to jump onto the sofa she fell off. Every now and then she gives a loud unhappy yowl which startles me and, frankly, makes me want to cry.

Just this second she made a second sofa attempt on the leather lounge and made it (with an agitated yowl), so I guess that's improvement already.

The vet was very pleased with her progress. I will take that as a signal to stop freaking the fuck out at my poor poor kitty's gammy leg.

I'd better go watch the I Don't Care and Beat It video clips. They usually cheer me up.
