Some randomy-random things:

** I am now the proud new owner of a lovely shiny external hard drive.  *pats self on back*  And go me, because in my procrastination I managed to land my purchase in a week where 750 gigs were on sale for the price of 500.  Which will end up meaning sweet shit all if the Nerd dude coming to visit me tonight can't save all my photos and music and Green Day vids that I obsessively downloaded but never backed up.

** Holding out blind hope that the Nerds on Site dude will actually NOT be a nerd, but a cute hot guy who just happens to be ~tech savvy.  In which case I will turn my thermostat up real high (because there was actually a few snowflakes around these parts last night) and perhaps he'll fix my computer shirtless.  Which will distract me from the loss of all photos of the last 2 years of my child's life.

** I got all teary-eyed in the car ride in to work today.  "Letterbomb" came up on shuffle on my iPod, and I broke my temporary ban on only listening to AI songs in full album context to listen to it.  And I actually got misty.  *sigh*

** Took the kidlet to the orthodontist the other day - she has quite possibly the biggest and most crowded teeth ever seen in a 7 year old's mouth.  Poor thing - braces are a for sure in our future, and teeth being pulled a very good possibility.  I am setting up a braces fund now - I accept all major credit cards and PayPal ;)

** On a serious note - a new message from the OTB popped up on their site:
