The longer away from this episode I get, the sadder I get about Donna's ending. Every time I think about any of the Donna episodes now, I'll have to think, 'Oh, I remember that, BUT DONNA DOESN'T.' :(( It's just awful. Which is not to say I don't think they should have done it, but just... awful.
In fact, everybody's ending in that episode just becomes darker and weirder the more I think about it. Doctor, you are a DARK, DARK MAN.
The bit that made me wibble was Wilfred saying "I'll watch out for you, son" at the end. I don't know. Little things get me. Although I don't know if I heard it right. He might have been saying "I'll watch out for you, sir", which wouldn't have made me wibble at all.
/>I went to Londontown this weekend and among my activities was attending Fleeting Fanfares III, a mini festival thing my brother organises. The line-up was frankly mega - even the bands that weren't fronted by members of my immediate family.
The last guy on was called John Smith, and he just about made me cry, and not just because I was fairly drunk by then. I predict that he will soon be very famous and his songs appearing on the season finales of American TV dramas, as I told him when I introduced myself and flung my arms around him afterwards. He sounds a bit like Ray LaMontagne, but more complicated and interesting, and from Devon. I don't have anything to upload for you yet, but it's totally worth watching/listening to the stuff he's got on his myspace, if you're that way inclined.
I also fell a bit in love with The Monroe Transfer, who are instrumental, and they were mad and intense and really, really wonderful. So you should also check out their myspace, of just download this.
