So annakovsky is awesome, and is writing an amazing Jonas Brothers/Band of Brothers (Band of Jonas Brothers?) crossover fic, Sad Songs to Keep Me Awake. Since my brain has been fairly consumed with this premise during this past week that she's been writing it and brainstorming with myself and irishmizzy, I...made a mix? Dedicated to annakovsky and irishmizzy for being awesome. :)
Um, and if you're on my flist and thinking, ".....?" then just keep on scrolling by, sometimes the heart just wants what it wants. And my heart wanted a mix inspired by a fic wherein the Jonas Brothers go to sexy war with the Band of Brothers dudes. (No really, they're in the same age bracket.)
p.s. HUGE THANKS go to fiorie for making the artwork. <3<3
Part 1:
1) you remind me of home -- ben gibbard
you remind me of home: a broken bed with dirty sheets that creaks when I am shifting in my sleep you remind me of home: in a suburban town with nothing to do, patiently waiting for something to happen
2) our swords -- band of horses
out on the wall sounds of banging is constant coming from your head and desperate the calls came and ringing from those wanna wring your neck
3) broken bones -- aqualung
this is a story 'bout the three of us down by the water and the tide is rising this world is burning and I'm terrified I need a little more time with you
4) world without end -- aa bondy
so don't leave me behind for I'm lost among my kind and now you are broken I am less
5) maybe you can owe me -- architecture in helsinki
maybe you can owe me? or should we wait and see? 'cause I've been saving up for something we need, as long as you're open to the possibility, yeah
6) stay golden -- au revoir simone
I saw it coming I just thought that you should know I'm feeling better every day I'm only waiting if you stay so don't feel bad
7) I still remember -- bloc party
I, I still remember how you looked that afternoon there was only you you said "it's just like a full moon" blood beats faster in our veins
8) chemicals collide -- cloud cult
we were loving like a landslide or were we in a fight these days it's hard to tell what's right from wrong and wrong from right
9) hideaway -- delays
without a second thought you put your hand on my shoulder, without a second look you took me miles away, what happened after that, I couldn’t see and I lost you and I stumbled around until I found you again
10) every you every me -- placebo
carve your name into my arm. instead of stressed, I lie here charmed. 'cause there's nothing else to do, every me and every you

(Haha, true story - the thing about this mix that I personally find the most embarrassing is that I used a Ben Gibbard song. WELL, COLOR ME WRETCHED.) |
