I kiiiinda promised to [info]ssm_kiyumi I'd post this fic a couple weeks ago already but I never had the time to write it XD; ...Not that I really had that much time right now with the homeworks and assignments from school, but I felt like writing it so managed to finally finish!

I started this fic right after the rollercoaster episode of Hyakushiki aired, and it takes place after the filming of that episode too~ So I started this fic a long time ago already XD; The style kinda shifts in the middle of it, because I wrote part of it back then, and the rest during the last couple weeks X3 Some InooDai cuteness~ (The title comes from KinKi Kids song JETcoaster Romance XD)

Rollercoaster Romance

“Inoo-chan, you wanna go for a ride on a rollercoaster again?” Daiki asked in a teasing smile when the boys were heading home from the Hyakushiki filming studio. The boys had filmed the rollercoaster episode that day, and everyone had been teasing Inoo about his fear for rollercoasters. Not that Inoo was the only one to fear them, but since he had been in the location shoot with Daiki and had to ride the rollercoasters, he had been an easy target to pick on.

“Definitely yada!” Inoo said, pouting, and not the slightest bit amused by Daiki’s teasing.

“Mou, but I really liked them…” Daiki whined, but stopped the teasing. He knew Inoo had never liked the rides, and after the last ride both of them had done, Inoo had been actually shaking for a long time.

“Then you should have just rode all of them so I didn’t have to…” Inoo said, still pouting, hugging his bag with both arms.

“That would have kinda ruined the whole idea though…” Daiki pondered, but gave an apologetic glance at Inoo. “I’m sorry Inoo-chan, I won’t tease about it anymore. I know you don’t like scary rides after all.”

Inoo was still pouting, refusing to look at Daiki. The younger boy almost wanted to sigh.

“Ne, Inoo-chan, you wanna come to my house today?” I got some new DVDs we could watch? Or we could play that one game we were playing the last time..?” Daiki couldn’t help but smile a bit when Inoo glanced at him slightly curious, although still trying to keep the pout on his face. “Tomorrow we have a day off after all, so you can stay late, ne? Or actually I think you could probably stay for the night too. Although, we should buy something to eat then, since mom doesn’t come home until late today. Or we could always order something too.”

Inoo seemed to forget about pouting when the subject shifted into food. “Maa, I guess it’s okay then”, Inoo said, trying not to smile and still pout about the teasing, but Daiki was being too cute to be angry at him. And Inoo was feeling kinda hungry too so food sounded good.

Daiki tilted his head, trying to look as adorable as possible to get Inoo to smile at him and stop the pouting. “Jaa, you want something to eat? We could get some bentos and snacks before going to my house?”

Inoo gave a small nod as an answer. It was really hard to try keep from smiling, especially when he could see the frustrated look on Daiki’s face when his cute act wasn’t helping. Daiki looked really adorable when he looked like that…

* * * * * * * * * *

“Tadaima~” Daiki called when they got home, even though he wasn’t even waiting for an answer. “No one’s home yet,” Daiki explained when Inoo gave a questioning look at him. “I told you mom doesn’t come until late, right? And the rest come probably even later… Maa, but that just means we can very well use the living room TV for watching DVDs. It‘s bigger than in my room.”

Inoo gave a small nod, smiling at Daiki. He had already given up on trying to pout at the younger boy, Daiki had simply been way too adorable while they had been in the store getting food, so Inoo didn’t have the heart to pretend being angry at him any longer than that. He put his bag and the shopping bag from the store on the floor so that he could take off his coat and hang it into the closet.

“We can eat while watching the DVDs!” Daiki said while throwing his jacket quite carelessly after Inoo’s. “Nn, we didn’t buy any drinks… What do you want to drink? Juice? Soda?”

“I’ll just take whatever you have,” Inoo said, picking up the bags again.

“Okay,” Daiki nodded. “Jaa, I’ll get the drinks from the kitchen, so you take the food to the living room? Ah, the new DVDs should still be on the living room table, unless mom moved them somewhere already, so you can choose what you want to watch!”

“Have you watched any of them yet?” Inoo called after Daiki once he got to the living room. “We can watch something you haven’t seen yet.”

“Nn, I haven’t watched any of the ones on the table yet!” Daiki shouted back from the kitchen. He took a pair of the biggest glasses from the closet and placed them on the table. He went to get ice from the freezer to put in the glasses, and stopped for a moment to look at the packet of chocolate ice cream in the freezer. He shook his head though, resisting the temptation. They had actual food to eat, for now at least… Daiki put the rest of the ice back in the freezer and opened the fridge door next to it, taking a bottle of lemonade from the fridge.

Before taking the glasses into his hands, Daiki snatched a piece of chocolate pocky from the opened box from the side table and put it into his mouth. He then took the glasses and headed to living room.

“This one looks the most interesting so…” Inoo started saying, holding up a DVD case, but paused when he looked up to Daiki. “Oi, what are you eating sweets when you’re supposed to be eating the normal food first!” Inoo said in a little fake lecturing voice. He reached his fingers to the other end of the stick of pocky and snapped it in half.

“Whaaat, it’s only a little!” Daiki defended himself, munching the half of pocky in his mouth as he placed the glasses on the table. “Ne, give it back~”

Inoo gave Daiki a little sneaky smile, and turned to look at the piece of pocky in his hand. He bought it to his own lips and bit a tiny piece from it.

“Mou, Inoo-chan!” Daiki whined, jumping to sit on his knees next to Inoo on the couch and having the cutest pout on his face.

“Hai hai, here you go…” Inoo said, the same sneaky smile still on his lips as he lifted his hand to offer the rest of the pocky back to Daiki. Daiki was so cute, whining after a piece of pocky like that when they had bought so much other snacks already too…

Daiki gave a cute smile to Inoo, and then leaned in to pick the pock from Inoo’s hand with his teeth instead of his hand.

Inoo felt Daiki’s teeth lightly scraping against his fingers as the boy picked the pocky, and he let go of the pocky, fighting against the blush about to creep to his face. “Ano, nn, should we watch the movie? If this one is okay?” Inoo asked, still holding the DVD box in his other hand.

“Ah, yeah let’s watch that,” Daiki said with a nod while munching the leftovers of the pocky in his mouth. He took the DVD case from Inoo and flipped it open and glanced at the back cover. “Hm, this one was a horror movie, right? Little early for watching those… Maybe we should put the lights out to get into a more scary mood, ne?” Daiki suggested with a little smile.

“Haha, that sounds good,” Inoo said, laughing a little. “But not all the way dark, otherwise we can’t see what we’re eating!”

“Pfft, there’s enough light from the TV!” Daiki said dismissively and went to put the DVD into the player, and then to shut down the lights from the living room. There was still the light on the hallway, and it wasn’t completely dark outside either so even without the lights they could still see very well, but at least it was better for scary movies.

“Aaah, I’m hungry!” Daiki said when he came back to the couch and dropped next to Inoo. He had taken the remote control with him, but just placed it on the table, not bothering to skip over the commercials in the beginning as it was a good moment to go through the food they had bought, since they didn’t have to concentrate on the movie just yet. He pulled the plastic bag closer and opened it to look inside. He pulled out the first box which had onigiri. “There’s no plum in these, right?” Daiki asked. The room was dark enough at least so that he was having trouble reading the text. “I bought some accidentally last time and I was so angry because I hate those…”

“I know, and there isn’t,” Inoo said, smiling a little amused at Daiki’s expression. “I checked it at the store.” After all, Inoo knew how strongly Daiki disliked certain foods.

“Ah, good!” Daiki said, obviously delighted, and placed the packet of onigiri for the table to get the rest of the stuff out of the bag. There was a small box of sandwiches and one pizza bread, and some snacks with those; salty crackers, a bag of chips and a small box with two pieces of chocolate cake.

“You’re so not eating the dessert first!” Inoo said when Daiki was staring at the cake box for a little too long, and reached to snatch the box from him.

“I wasn’t think about that!” Daiki said, trying to reach for the cake but Inoo held it so far he couldn’t reach. When Daiki sat back down Inoo placed the box on the table next to the other food. “Not too much anyway… But I really feel like eating chocolate… Ah, we need forks with the cake!”

Daiki glanced at the TV screen, but the commercials were still rolling, so he jumped up the from couch and hurried to kitchen. He soon came back with two plates in one hand and a pair of small forks in the other.

“Just in time…” Inoo said, because just as Daiki sat down next to him the opening credits for the movie started to play. Inoo reached for the packet of onigiri - he preferred that over sandwich - and took one of them.

Daiki reached to take one of the small sandwiches from the other box and took a bite of it. He tried to settle into a more comfortable position on the couch but didn’t seem to be able to get comfortable, so Daiki quickly spun around to lay on the couch instead, resting the side of his head against Inoo’s thigh like it was his pillow.

Inoo’s eyes immediately shifted from the TV screen to Daiki, totally ignoring the movie, and blushed. Good thing was that Daiki was first of all not paying attention to Inoo, and also it was so dark in the room Daiki probably wouldn’t even notice the blush even if he did pay attention. “Ah, sho-shouldn’t you sit up when you’re eating? That’s not really a good position to be eating in…” Inoo managed to say, his voice even sounding almost normal.

“I’ll manage,” Daiki said with a little smile, his eyes glued on the screen. Daiki shifted a little bit again and moved his free hand to below Inoo’s knee. “It’s more comfortable like this.” Daiki took another bite of the sandwich while following the movie on the TV screen. He’d have to remember to ask Hasshi if he wanted to see some of the movies, since Hasshi was always looking for new DVDs to watch.

Inoo felt like blushing some more, but he wasn’t sure if it was more because of Daiki saying it was more comfortable like this, or because Daiki’s fingers were touching against his leg. Probably the latter one. No, most definitely the latter one. Inoo swallowed, and forced his eyes back to the TV screen, although most of what was happening there went totally past him as he was being too distracted by Daiki’s head and hand against his thigh and leg.

“Eeeeh, there’s a rollercoaster!” Daiki said, giggling when the people on TV screen were getting on a rollercoaster cart. He shifted his eyes up to Inoo, a teasing smile on his lips. “That one looks like it’s really fun too, wouldn’t you want to try it?”

Inoo frowned at Daiki’s teasing, forgetting to feel shy about the way Daiki was leaning against him. “That’s not fun…” Inoo said, pouting. “Didn’t you promise not to tease me about it anymore…” Inoo only then seemed to remember the onigiri still on his hand and lifted it to his mouth, taking a big bite out of it.

“Aww, but I couldn’t resist…” Daiki said in a cute voice, but a hint of the teasing smile on his lips. “Inoo-chan, don’t pout~”

But Inoo just pouted some more, not looking down at Daiki. Actually, pouting like this was a good way to distract himself from whatever he was feeling for Daiki being so close to him…

“Nee, Inoo-chan…” Daiki said in a bit whiny voice. He pushed himself up and sat up next to Inoo, leaning his chin against the older boy’s shoulder. “Don’t pout like that, I’m sorry, okay?” Daiki said in a sweet voice, tilting his head in the most adorable manner.

Inoo almost felt tempted to continue with the pouting just to have Daiki acting so cute with him, but he already felt guilty just thinking about it. “Don’t go promising you don’t do something when you’re not gonna keep that promise then,” Inoo said a bit bitterly, shifting to look at Daiki and blowing some air against the younger boy’s face. “Maa, just forget about it. But it’s not funny.” Inoo turned his face back to the TV screen, frowning a little when he noticed the rollercoaster was still there. And he had been the one to pick the movie himself, it was like he was mocking himself with this choice…

“So, does that mean Inoo-chan is forgiving me..?” Daiki asked sweetly, leaning so close his nose was actually touching against Inoo’s cheek.

Inoo completely froze, feeling Daiki lean against him like that, even though Daiki clearly wasn’t thinking about it the same way… “Y-yeah…” Inoo managed to mumble, barely moving his lips. It seemed to be enough an answer for Daiki though, as the boy moved his face away from Inoo’s, and after taking a sip from his drink he returned back to his previous position, laying on the couch while using Inoo’s thigh as a pillow.

* * * * * * * * * *

“Waah, that was a good movie!” Daiki said after he shut down the DVD player, turning the normal TV channels on. It had actually had some really scary moments, which had had both of them shouting out loud. “I definitely need to give this for Hasshi to see…”

“Yeah, and tell him to watch it with Takaki,” Inoo said with a little smirk.

Daiki giggled as a response to that. “Yeah, Takaki would so freak out at that!” Daiki flipped through the channels until he found some game show to watch. “And now we can finally eat the chocolate cake!”

Inoo smiled at Daiki’s excited expression as the younger boy hurried to open the box and put the cake pieces on the plates.

“Mmm, it’s so good!” Daiki almost sighed after trying the first piece. “Inoo-chan, you really need to try it!”

Inoo tried to keep from laughing at how happy Daiki got over something as simple as a piece of cake. He picked up his own piece from the table and took a bite. It was really good, even though Inoo wasn’t really even close as into sweets as Daiki was.

“Aah, that was good!” Daiki sighed contently after having finished his cake. “Eh? Inoo-chan, you don’t eat yours?” he asked when he noticed the older boy had only taken a few bites.

“I’m eating all the time, aren’t I?” Inoo said, a little amused by how intently Daiki was staring at his cake.

“But so slow… Are you not liking it? I can eat it if you don’t like it?” Daiki suggested cutely, leaning a little closer to Inoo and his cake.

“No way, it’s my cake so I’m eating it!” Inoo laughed, moving the cake to his side, away from Daiki’s reach.

“But you don’t look like you’re enjoying it. Eating it so slowly too…” Daiki tried again, pouting his lips as cutely as he could.

“I’m enjoying it slowly!” Inoo said, laughing some more. “You’re being such a kid, you can’t have everything you want.”

“I’m not being a kid!” Daiki said, but crossed his arms over his chest and pouted his lips in a way that was definitely childish. “And I didn’t even say that I want the cake, I just said I can eat it if you don’t like it…”

“Oh really…” Inoo said, smirking amused. “So you don’t want this?” Inoo took a piece of his chocolate cake on the fork and directed it near Daiki’s face. Inoo almost felt a little mean, when as Daiki’s eyes sparkled at the sight of the cake he then suddenly withdrew his hand, eating the piece of the cake himself.

“Aaah, that’s so mean! Inoo-chan is mean!” Daiki exclaimed, sounding incredibly hurt. He crossed his arms even firmer over his chest and turned his face away. If Inoo was going to be so mean to him…

Yes, Inoo definitely was feeling that he was being too mean. Daiki looked really upset. “Ne, I was just teasing…” Inoo said in a bit apologetic voice. Although, compared to Daiki teasing him about the rollercoasters, this couldn’t be really count as teasing. Still, Inoo felt bad about it. “C’mon, don’t pout. I’ll give you some of the cake?”

Inoo could see Daiki’s eyes shift the slightest bit at the mentioning of the cake, but Daiki probably still figured Inoo was only teasing him, and kept pouting.

“Dai-chan~” Inoo said in a singsong voice, holding the cake close to Daiki’s face, moving it back and forth next to Daiki’s mouth.

That was enough to get Daiki’s attention. Even though the younger boy was pretending not to care, when Inoo had been moving his fork around in the air for a couple times, Daiki shifted to glance at Inoo for a second. He then looked back at the cake, and then Inoo again, as if not sure he could trust that the boy wasn’t just teasing him again. But the chocolate cake was too tempting, so Daiki leaned forward, and bit the chocolate cake from the fork, chewing on it contently.

Inoo followed with a smile as Daiki seemed to have forgotten about pouting now that he had gotten a piece of the chocolate cake. He had just eaten a whole piece of cake himself! Daiki really loved his sweets, that was for sure, Inoo mused as he took a bite of the chocolate cake and put it into his own mouth. He took another piece of the chocolate cake, this time directing it next to Daiki’s mouth again and the boy took the piece right away, not suspecting Inoo would do something mean again.

After a few more bites Daiki already started to look at Inoo with a very cute look on his face when it was time for ‘his bite’. The piece of cake wasn’t too big though, so it didn’t last for too long. The last piece, of course, Inoo gave to Daiki.

“Hn, no more cake?” Daiki asked glancing at Inoo’s now empty plate with a little sad look.

“You already ate yours! And half of my piece of top of that,” Inoo laughed.

“Your point being..?” Daiki asked, lifting one eyebrow as he looked at Inoo.

“You just like sweets too much,” Inoo giggled, deciding to let the subject be.

Daiki just shrugged at that comment, and reached for his glass of soda. He drank the last bits of it, and gave a bit dissatisfied look at the now empty glass. “Ne, Inoo-chan, what should we do now?” Daiki asked, taking a bit more comfortable position on the couch and glancing at Inoo. “Watch another movie? Or we could play? We were playing that one game last time, ne?”

“Hmm, I think maybe play?” Inoo said, also relaxing more on the couch again. He then thought about something. “Actually, Hikaru borrowed one of his games for me today, we could try that?”

“Eh, really? Which game?” Daiki asked, clearly interested. He had only gotten a new game a little while ago himself, but if it was something he hadn’t tried before, he of course wanted to.

“Let’s go try it, I’ll show you,” Inoo said with a little grin. He got up from the couch and went to get his bag. Daiki looked curiously after him before following after as Inoo was already heading towards Daiki’s room.

“So what game is it?” Daiki asked again as he was turning on his laptop.

“This,” Inoo said, taking the case of Doom 3 from his bag. He tried not to smile amused when he saw Daiki’s face drop at the sight of it. Daiki didn’t like first person shooter games, and Inoo of course knew it. It was the perfect payback for the rollercoaster thing.

“Un, I don’t really like those games…” Even though Daiki didn’t want to actually admit it, FPS games totally freaked him out. Even though he wasn’t the type to get scared easily, he couldn’t handle those games. When you were looking at the game through the game character’s eyes and monsters would attack from nowhere at you… Just thinking about it made Daiki shiver.

“You haven’t even tried it before so you can’t say you don’t like it,” Inoo teased. He played games enough to know if there was a genre you simply didn’t like, one game didn’t change that, so he only wanted to punish Daiki for the rollercoaster thing. “Saying that is just childish, ne?”

“Would you stop saying I’m childish?” Daiki pouted. He couldn’t really try getting away from playing the game without looking like a coward, so when Inoo was putting the game disc inside he just kept quiet.

“Hai, Dai-chan can try the game first, since I’ve already played this once with Hikaru before,” Inoo said, giving a fake charming smile at Daiki. The younger boy sulked a bit before looking at the screen. He didn’t have too good feeling about this…

Daiki managed to play the game for exactly two minutes before… “Waaah!!” Daiki shouted when some kind of a bigger monster appeared from behind his character. He completely abandoned the game, letting the game character get killed as he crawled away from the game screen himself.

“Oi, Dai-chan, don’t leave your man to die!” Inoo said, laughing out loud at his amusement. Daiki was really overreacting.

“I said I don’t like these games!” Daiki tried defending himself, but knew it was kind of pointless. He was starting to understand from Inoo’s expression that this was all a payback from the rollercoaster thing from earlier, and it was kind of annoying that Daiki didn’t understand it from the start. “Inoo-chan can play it!”

“Fine, I’ll play~” Inoo said, his lips still in an amused smile as he moved to in front of the screen and chose a new game. Once he was playing, he felt Daiki soon come back closer, sitting on the floor a little behind Inoo. Inoo didn’t really pay that much attention, but when Daiki then suddenly leaned his chin against Inoo’s shoulder, Inoo started to find it a little difficult to concentrate on the game. Daiki was probably just doing it because he wanted to see better, but not wanting to get closer to screen because he still didn’t like the game, from behind Inoo was better. But from Inoo’s point of view it was very… distracting, and soon he found himself having a lot of trouble trying to shake off one monster that managed to get the upper hand on him while he was being distracted with Daiki that close to him.

“Watch out, watch out! You’re gonna get killed!” Daiki exclaimed from over Inoo’s shoulder, pointing towards the screen as he duck more behind Inoo, as if to hide from the monster. Of course Inoo could see it himself too, that he was dying, but he couldn’t really help it! Daiki being so close… it was distracting!

“Nn, it’s not that fun game after all…” Inoo said in a little discontent voice as the game over screen started fading after a while. Or maybe he should just try it later alone home, where there were no distractions. Not that Inoo exactly minded this ‘distraction’…

“You’re just saying that because you’re not good in it either!” Daiki laughing, wrapping his arms around Inoo’s neck from behind and stuck his tongue out at the boy.

“I’d be better if I didn’t have you to distract m…” Inoo caught himself before he could finish that sentence, but Daiki was already looking at him with a questioning look. Dammit, Inoo didn’t mean to say that out loud… “I only tried it for the first time, it’s gonna go better on the next try.”

“…What do you mean I distract you?” Daiki asked, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Inoo. He still had his arms around the older boy’s shoulder, and was leaning his face over Inoo’s shoulder, so their faces were really close.

Damn, Daiki just had to get caught on that one, didn’t he… “Well, you’re clinging onto me right now too, right?”

Inoo really wished he hadn’t said that as an excuse. Daiki withdrew his arms and settled to sit a small distance away from Inoo, crossing his arms over his chest. Inoo turned to look a bit cautiously behind him where Daiki was sitting. He could see the younger boy was pouting.

“I’m not clinging onto you now, so just play then!” Daiki said, clearly pouting.

“I didn’t mean it like that…” Inoo said, turning around on the floor so that he was facing Daiki. What was he supposed to say? Daiki was very distracting when he was clinging onto him like that, but it was totally different than what Daiki thought. Just Daiki being close like that…

“Then exactly what did you mean by it?” Daiki asked, narrowing his eyebrows some more. If Inoo was saying he was being distracting in how many different ways could he mean that then?

“Just that, uh…” Inoo felt the blush creeping to his face. “I didn’t mean it like that… It’s not that I mind that…”

Daiki peered at Inoo’s face curiously. What was the boy suddenly being so flustered about. “Ne, Inoo-chan, what is it?” Daiki asked, leaning a bit forward. It seemed that at least he had forgotten to pout now that his interest was directed elsewhere. Although with Inoo blushing so much now, he probably would have hoped Daiki was still pouting instead of getting interested about his reddening face…

“It… it’s nothing…” Inoo said, trying to sound dismissive. He turned around to Daiki’s computer, exiting the game screen and took the disc out, placing it back to its case. “Do you want to play the game we were playing the last time? We both like that one better after all.”

“Oh no, don’t you try changing the subject!” Daiki said, a smile appearing on his lips. He moved closer to Inoo and wrapped his arms around his neck again. “C’mon, Inoo-chan, what’s the matter?” he asked with a little teasing voice.

“Not… I already said it’s nothing, ne?” Inoo said, trying to keep from looking even slightly towards Daiki. The younger boy was leaning so close his lips were almost touching against Inoo’s cheek when he talked. Daiki really didn’t have the slightest idea how he was affecting Inoo, and it wasn’t like Inoo could just explain it either!

Daiki just laughed and released his arms from around Inoo’s neck. But before Inoo could sigh from relief Daiki got up and walked to Inoo’s other side, sitting down in front of Inoo, between the boy and the laptop. He crossed his legs and rested his chin against his hands as he leaned close to Inoo, a teasing smirk on his lips. “Yeah, you keep saying that… But you’re a bad liar, you know?”

Inoo almost winced, and tried to evade Daiki’s eyes. If Inoo had just watched out for what he said - or at least came up with some kind of an excuse - he didn’t have to try figuring out some kind of an explanation now.

“Inoo-chan~” Daiki whined, pouting his lips. He was starting to lose his interest since Inoo wasn’t saying anything, but he also didn’t want to let it be. There was something Inoo wasn’t telling Daiki, and it really bugged him. “Mou, you’re being mean…” Daiki pouted some more and turned around so that his back was against Inoo. He leaned to his computer to shut it down. “Fine, I won’t talk to you either then,” Daiki said in a cold voice.

Inoo was taken aback by the sudden change in Daiki‘s attitude. He hadn’t meant it like that at all, he just… couldn’t say out loud exactly what he was feeling, not to Daiki… “Dai-chan…” Inoo said softly, and moved next to Daiki. The younger boy was pretending not to even notice thought, instead staring the ‘Computer closing…” screen in front of him.

Inoo gave a deep sigh and reached his hands on Daiki’s shoulders, turning the boy towards him as the computer screen was turning black. “Would you stop that?”

“Stop what?” Daiki asked, his tone of voice sounding incredibly childish. “I’m not acting any different than you are.” Yes, Daiki knew he was being childish, but right then he just couldn’t help it. But if Inoo said how he was acting childish like that, Daiki would definitely kick him…

“Dai-chan, I…” Inoo was still holding onto Daiki’s shoulders, and the younger boy was looking directly into his eyes, annoyed. Why did Daiki have to exaggerate things like that? It’s not like Inoo had even done anything Daiki should be so annoyed about! He had only said Daiki was distracting… “You’re being a baby, acting like that.”

Okay that was it, Daiki would so kick Inoo for that. But before he could even get a word out of his mouth, Inoo suddenly pulled him closer from the elbows, and the next thing Daiki could feel was Inoo’s lips, softly pressing against his own.

At least that shut Daiki up… That was what Inoo probably would have been thinking, if he could think about anything else but Daiki’s lips against his. No, this wasn’t at all how he had planned, this wasn’t how he was supposed to tell about his feelings to Daiki… Then again, there was probably no way how he even would have told him, so maybe this was a good way after all… Still, feeling it with his hands and lips, Daiki being frozen completely still in front of him, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea…

Inoo broke the kiss, moving his lips away from Daiki’s. He met the younger boy’s eyes, even though Daiki’s eyes were staring at him so intently it was making it almost impossible for Inoo not to blush. Inoo brought his hand to scratch the back of his head, and turned his face slightly away from Daiki, not being able to meet the younger boy’s stare any longer. “Ano, I just…” Inoo shifted his gaze back to Daiki’s eyes, and then away again. What was he supposed to say!?

Daiki just kept staring at Inoo. Did Inoo just.. Did Inoo just kiss him!? Daiki saw Inoo turning his face away, but Daiki himself couldn’t stop staring. He felt his face starting to gradually grow red though. After what felt like forever Daiki finally managed to turn his face away from Inoo, and felt like squirming on the floor. He had no idea how to react to that!

Inoo bit his lip so hard he almost thought he’d break the skin, thinking of what to do. Daiki was looking incredibly fidgety, moving around the floor much in the same manner Hasshi tended to do when he had to speak in front of an audience. The difference was, it was only him and Daiki now, but Daiki was looking just as nervous, which was very unlike him… Then again, Inoo had done something that was very unlike him too!!

“Um, ano… Sorry, I shouldn’t have done… done something like that out of the blue…” Inoo managed to mumble, scratching the back of his head a little awkwardly, not meeting with Daiki’s eyes. Not like that would have even been possible, because Daiki was very much avoiding his eyes. Even though Inoo knew he shouldn’t have done it, even though he said it too, deep inside, he didn’t really mean it. Even though he shouldn’t have, he really had liked the feeling… The feeling of kissing Daiki… Just thinking of that made the blush come back to Inoo’s cheeks.

Inoo was the one who had made the atmosphere awkward, so he was the one that should do something too. He hesitated for a moment, and then moved closer to Daiki. He could see the younger boy’s eyes switch towards him for a split second before turning away again. It made Inoo feel bad, but he felt even worse when as he lifted his hand to touch against Daiki’s shoulder, the younger boy flinched. Daiki didn’t move away from the touch, but it somehow felt that he had considered that, even for the tiniest moment.

Inoo opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again, not being able to come up with anything to say after all. This was just stupid! He had to do something, because the atmosphere was getting worse by the moment, neither saying or doing anything. Without even thinking really, Inoo could feel himself reaching his arms towards Daiki, around the boy’s shoulders, and pulling the probably very much surprised Daiki against his own chest.

“I’m sorry, for doing something like that so suddenly…” Inoo said, holding his arms tightly around Daiki incase the boy would try to shake him off and move away, but it seemed Daiki was too surprised to even think of anything like that right then. “…Or no, actually, I guess I’m really not sorry, since I wanted to kiss you, so I’m not sorry about that, just that… Just for doing it so suddenly and probably scaring you, I guess I’m sorry about that part…” Inoo almost felt like kicking himself. Could he be making any less sense!? Deciding not to even try making some sense into the situation, he loosened his arms around Daiki slightly and leaned down, pressing his lips against Daiki’s again.

If Daiki had been surprised by getting pulled into Inoo’s arms just moment ago, that was nothing compared to the feeling of having the boy kiss him again! Daiki just sat there, frozen, for a long while before he could get his brain to work enough to be able to move. And he did move, quickly pulling himself away from Inoo and jumping up from the floor.

“Dai-chan, I…”

“No, don’t say anything!” Daiki said, looking very squirmy even now when he was standing. “I can’t think when you’re trying to talk…” Daiki fidgeted on his feet for a while longer before starting to pace around the room.

Inoo snapped his mouth shut just as the other boy told him to. But what on earth was Daiki doing..? He kept quiet as he followed Daiki walking around the room, keeping quiet since Daiki told him to, but he was feeling more and more anxious by the second. If he couldn’t say anything, then Daiki at least should!!

Daiki kept walking frantically around the room almost in circles, glancing at Inoo every now and then, blushing more every time he did so and quickly turned away. Just as Inoo was starting to get so frustrated he was about to get up himself and say something, despite Daiki telling him not to say anything, Daiki suddenly came back, crouching down right in front of Inoo and looking directly into his eyes.

“Why did you k-ki--kiss me just now?” Daiki asked bluntly, although his voice was stuttering at the word ‘kiss’, and he also blushed when he said that. But he did keep his eyes intently at Inoo, staring at the boy in the eyes almost without even blinking. Even though he was clearly feeling embarrassed asking that, Daiki wanted an answer.

Inoo felt the redness creeping on his cheeks. Daiki was simply so close, and looking at his eyes… He swallowed a bit nervously, opening his mouth a few times in a failed attempt to answer something to Daiki before any voice finally came out. “I… I just… I’ve been thinking about that… kinda wanting to, um…” Inoo saw Daiki narrowing his eyes when Inoo wasn’t able to provide him with even remotely acceptable answer. “Just, I was thinking about wanting to kiss you… thinking about that more than once earlier today already, actually…”

“That’s no answer…” Daiki said with a surprisingly strict voice, almost pouting his lips as he continued to stare at Inoo’s eyes. Even though Daiki wasn’t moving, to Inoo it felt like he was leaning closer, and Inoo really wanted to lean back to avoid being stared at from so close.

“No… answer..?” Inoo repeated, stuttering slightly as he tried to met Daiki’s eyes evenly, even though he felt himself faltering.

“Yeah, because…” Daiki seemed to be thinking about that for a moment before he suddenly sat down on his knees right in front of Inoo, and this time he actually did lean closer, so much that Inoo tugged his own head back from the surprise. “Just saying you felt like it, it’s no answer! I mean… I meant…” Daiki’s voice suddenly got quieter, and he shifted his eyes down on the floor, his cheeks flushing. “I meant… why. Why did you kiss me..? Why did you felt like doing it..?”

Inoo could feel his heart almost hurting when he saw Daiki like this, looking so shy and… vulnerable? Before he could even think what he was doing, he had already reached his arms around the smaller boy, and pulled him tightly against his chest. He could feel Daiki tensing up in his arms, but he wasn’t letting go one bit, instead tightened his hold on the smaller boy, and leaned his face closer to Daiki’s head, so close he could feel the light scent of the shampoo Daiki used in his hair. Inoo hesitated for a few seconds before leaning a bit closer again, and pressed his lips softly on Daiki’s forehead.

“I… I’m not really sure what…” Inoo started, but was having trouble with figuring what to say. He didn’t know what he was supposed to say after all. Why he wanted to kiss Daiki. He… he liked Daiki… He felt his heartbeat getting faster just thinking about that. It was true, he did, he liked Daiki. He liked Daiki a lot, and it was more than as a friend he should… Otherwise he wouldn’t be thinking about kissing him!

Daiki wasn’t moving away, but Inoo could feel how the boy seemed to be tensing up even more. It was because Inoo couldn’t even answer what Daiki was asking, so of course the younger boy didn’t know what he was supposed to be thinking. Inoo was so confused too, but Daiki had to be even more so. “I like you!” Inoo suddenly managed to blurt out. His heart was racing so violently when he said that, Inoo feared his heart wouldn’t be able to take that!

He didn’t wait for any answer from Daiki, or actually not even any reaction from him. Before Daiki could have the chance for something like that, Inoo had already moved his arms lower, and leaned his face closer to Daiki’s, pressing their lips together in a sweet kiss. Yes, Inoo had answered Daiki, he had said he liked him, that’s why he had kissed him… But with this kiss, Inoo could answer even better. Just saying he liked Daiki, that wasn’t enough for an explanation. The kiss could show it better.

Of course Inoo wasn’t expecting Daiki to answer the kiss. He wasn’t expecting anything. Just that on the back of his mind he was dead scared of Daiki pulling away. So far at least Daiki hadn’t made any attempt to move away, or move in any other way either. Maybe it was just Inoo’s imagination, but… it almost felt like Daiki was relaxing a little in the kiss…

Slowly, very unwillingly, Inoo broke the kiss. He really didn’t want to, but kissing Daiki when he had no idea how the boy felt… That wasn’t right, right? Inoo met with Daiki’s eyes; the younger boy was looking at him with a dazed look, his lips slightly parted. Inoo swallowed once, forcing himself to concentrate his eyes on anything else but Daiki’s lips. Otherwise he’d only want to kiss him again… Inoo moved his arms from around Daiki, and slid his hands up and down Daiki’s arms, as if in attempt to make the boy feel warmer, even though it wasn’t cold in the room. He just didn’t know what to do with his hands…

Inoo’s eyes were automatically drawn back to Daiki’s lips when the younger boy licked his lips. “Dai-chan, I…” Inoo tried to mumble something, but he had no idea what to say in a situation like this. It’s not like he had any previous experiences! Inoo opened his mouth, but seeing Daiki looking at him like that only made him shut his mouth again, and blush.

Daiki then completely surprised Inoo by suddenly smiling, although still a bit shyly. “Well, in that case… it’s okay then…”

Inoo blinked a few times, staring at Daiki. In what case? What was okay? Inoo’s head felt totally empty.

Daiki’s smile faltered a little when Inoo wasn’t replying to him in any way, up to the point when he almost frowned. Daiki’s eyes shifted to the side and he actually looked like he was going to move away. Even with how confused he was feeling, Inoo noticed this and held his hands tighter on Daiki’s arms, making the boy look at him again.

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say,” Inoo decided to say honestly. If he really didn’t know what to say, wasn’t it better he simply said it than made Daiki feel bad by keeping quiet? “I’m sorry, I really don’t… I just know I want to kiss you again… because I like you… like I said…” Inoo’s voice quieted down almost into a mumble, and he shyly turned his face down.

Facing downwards, Inoo couldn’t see how Daiki’s lips curved into a small smile again. He only noticed when Daiki leaned a little towards him, making Inoo lift his eyes back to Daiki’s face. “That’s why I said it was okay then…” Daiki said, the little smile still on his lips.

Inoo’s head wasn’t working at all, even less so when seeing that smile, but his body didn’t seem to be having the same problem. Almost as if on their own Inoo’s arms circled around Daiki’s body, pulling him closer as he leaned down to press his lips against Daiki’s again.

But this time the kiss felt different. Very different actually, because after a mere few seconds he could feel Daiki leaning closer, and actually answering to the kiss too. It shocked Inoo so much he actually froze in the kiss for a moment, but continued as soon as he noticed what he was doing. What was he thinking!? Daiki was kissing him back and he would stop there!?

Inoo tilted his head in the kiss, pressing his lips just a little more against Daiki’s. Feeling Daiki’s lips moving against his, answering to the kiss, even if only slightly, the feeling was almost intoxicating. Inoo really just wanted to forget himself in the kiss but the very small, rational part of his brain that was still working was telling him he shouldn’t. So Inoo decided to break the kiss. His heart made a small thud when he felt Daiki actually leaning towards him, trying to keep their lips together in the kiss. Maybe he should just kiss Daiki again and not care about anything else…

“Dai-chan, are you okay..? With the ki-kissing..?” Inoo couldn’t help but still stumble a little on the word ‘kiss’. Even though he had already kissed Daiki more than once, saying it made him feel even more nervous for some reason. Inoo didn’t want to do it if Daiki wasn’t fine with it. He was answering to the kiss, so Inoo was pretty sure he was, but he didn’t want to make any assumptions. And Daiki had broken the kiss after all, even though Inoo had kissed Daiki after that already too…

“…You think I would have let you kiss me otherwise..?” Daiki asked, his voice somewhere between shy and amused. Daiki seemed to be hesitating about something for a while, and then Inoo faintly noticed Daiki moving closer, and felt a pair of lips softly touching against his. Even though the lasted barely even for a second before Daiki pulled away, Inoo was sure his brain stopped working for a lot longer time than that. When Daiki had pulled away, he could only sit there staring at Daiki all stupidly, his eyes wide and mouth half open.

Daiki seemed to blush a little from Inoo’s stare, and looking a bit unsure of what to do he got up from the floor - after he had kissed Inoo, Inoo had dropped his arms from around him so Daiki was free to move as he wanted. Daiki seemed to be quite fidgety, not really sure what to do under the intense stare of Inoo’s eyes, so he moved towards the bed and sat down on the edge, still feeling like squirming a little. Even though he had said it was okay, and even though he had just kissed Inoo too, it wasn’t like Daiki was exactly clear on the feelings he was experiencing right now, so it wasn’t any easier for him than for Inoo to try really understand what was going on…

It took a little while from Inoo to comprehend Daiki had moved away from his reach, and actually from his line of sight too. The older boy turned around, lifting his eyes at Daiki who was now sitting on the edge of the bed, looking a little uncomfortable. Daiki looking like that, it made Inoo feel a little uncertain.

“You sure you’re okay..?” Inoo asked when he finally got his voice back. Daiki kissing him had really rendered him both senseless and voiceless for quite a while. Inoo hesitated for a little while before getting up from the floor himself and came to sit next to Daiki. “Because you don’t really look like that…”

Daiki glanced up at Inoo before shifting his eyes back to his feet, swinging them back and forth over the edge of the bed. “I’m okay…” Daiki mumbled, not looking at Inoo. “Just… not really sure what I should be doing… or ever feeling for that matter…”

“You kissed me…” Inoo couldn’t help but saying, a little smile tugging on his lips.

“So? You kissed me first…” Daiki said, his cheeks turning a little bit redder. He almost looked up at Inoo, but decided to keep his eyes at his sock-covered feet instead. If he looked at Inoo he’d probably blush even more.

Even though still feeling a little uncertain and shy, Inoo almost giggled at Daiki’s response. Being childish like that was so like Daiki… Inoo didn’t say anything back to that though, instead he leaned closer to Daiki, and pressed a kiss on the boy’s cheek. Knowing he had Daiki’s full attention, Inoo raised his hand to the other side of Daiki’s face and turned the boy’s face towards him, now pressing his lips against Daiki’s lips in a soft kiss. If Daiki said there was no problem with Inoo kissing him, Inoo wasn’t exactly planning on holding back.

Inoo kept his hand on the side of Daiki’s face as he kissed him, raising his other hand on the other side of Daiki’s face, brushing his thumbs soothingly against Daiki’s cheeks. When Inoo felt Daiki leaning against him, leaning into the kiss, it felt like heaven. Inoo could barely believe this was really happening. Kissing Daiki like this, and Daiki answering to the kiss too… Inoo lowered his hands from Daiki’s face to the boy’s neck, slowly moving them even lower from there, to the younger boy’s waist. He leaned even closer to Daiki, tilting the boy’s body, making him lean lower until the boy’s back hit against the bed, and Inoo leaned after him, on top of Daiki.

Inoo seemed to realize their position only after his palms were touching against the bed sheet to support his own weight over Daiki. He blushed, pulling himself away from the kiss and looking down at Daiki, flustered. He completely forgot about feeling embarrassed when he saw Daiki though.

The younger boy was looking up at Inoo, a completely dazed look in his only half open eyes, his cheeks flushed light pink. Inoo licked his lips without even noticing, Daiki simply looked too tempting… Inoo leaned down again, and pressed his lips against Daiki’s for a gentle kiss, lightly nibbling onto the boy’s bottom lip before kissing the boy again.

Inoo leaned his elbows against the bed to support his weight better as he moved up slightly and broke the kiss. “Ne, Dai-chan… Your lips still taste like the chocolate cake…” Inoo said with a little smile when he looked down at Daiki.

Hearing Inoo say something random like that seemed to get rid off some of Daiki’s embarrassment too, because the younger boy actually giggled at that. “So does Inoo-chan’s…” he said, still laughing lightly. Apparently feeling more at ease now, Daiki moved his hands from the bed, slowly, but not that shyly anymore, moving his arms loosely around Inoo’s neck. He leaned up a little bit, barely touching his lips against Inoo’s before moving back down. “Hn, I think Inoo-chan should have eaten more of the cake, because it only tastes like that a little…”

“What, you saying you don’t like how my lips taste like?” Inoo said in a small laugh, although saying that made him blush a little. And apparently Daiki too, as he saw the shy blush tainting the younger boy’s cheeks at what Inoo said, so Inoo decided to divert the boy’s attention away from that. “Besides, you were the one who ate most of my cake anyway!”

“But I like sweet things so I’m allowed to do that!” Daiki tried, but both the boys ended up laughing at his weak defense. “Don’t laugh!”

“Aren’t you laughing yourself?” Inoo asked with a little teasing smile. Daiki was trying to fake looking annoyed, but was failing miserably.

“Oh, shut up…” Daiki then said, tugging onto Inoo’s neck so that he could reach his lips against Inoo’s.

Yes, Inoo would gladly shut up if he got to kiss Daiki instead, Inoo thought, smiling a little bit against Daiki’s lips as he moved closer in the kiss. Moving like that, Inoo shifted his weight without even noticing himself, and because the pair was closer to the edge of the bed than either of them probably remembered - or at least paid attention to - it had its consequences. Inoo’s one hand slid from the edge of the bed, making him lose his balance. And because Daiki was holding onto him so tightly, they both ended up crashing down on the floor.

“A-are you okay!?” Inoo asked, shocked by the sudden fall, and pushed himself to sit up on the floor. He saw Daiki sit up too, shaking his head so that most of his hair fell on his face, almost fully covering it. It looked so cute that despite worrying Inoo couldn’t help but laugh.

“What are you laughing, weren’t you just worried?” Daiki asked, but even though Inoo couldn’t see Daiki’s mouth from all the hair on Daiki’s face, he could clearly tell from the boy’s voice he was smiling, probably also amused by the fall.

Inoo reached his hands on the sides of Daiki’s face, brushing the hair away from Daiki’s face.

“That was… surprising…” Daiki said with a little smile on his lips when he could see Inoo now, after Inoo had cleared the hair from his face. “Your balance sucks!”

“It has nothing to do with my balance if I just happen to be too close to the edge!” Inoo tried defending himself, still keeping his hands on the side of Daiki’s face. “Maa, I guess it doesn’t matter… You didn’t hurt yourself though?”

Daiki moved his arms as if to test, and then gave a little nod at Inoo. “Nope, everything’s okay.”

“Good…” Inoo said with a smile, and leaned to press a kiss on Daiki’s lips. “Do we dare to go back on the bed..?” Inoo asked, barely moving his lips away from Daiki’s.

Being so close, Inoo could actually feel Daiki’s lips curl into a smile. “If you’re not gonna fall on the floor again?” Daiki said a bit teasingly.

“You fell too, didn’t you?” Inoo reminded, keeping his lips barely apart from Daiki’s.

“Just because you pulled me down with you!”

“…And who was the one holding onto me?” Inoo asked, his smile getting a little bit wider at Daiki’s childish tone again.

“…Ah, you got me there…” Daiki said after a couple seconds of silence and giggled. Daiki tilted his head a tiny bit up so that his lips touched against Inoo’s for a moment. He then pulled himself up and sat back on the edge of the bed. “Jaa, we just have to stay away from the edge of the bed then!”

Inoo couldn’t help but smirk at Daiki’s adorable smile when he was sitting there, looking both innocent and mischievous at the same time. Why had he been so scared to let Daiki know how he felt in the first place anyway? When he was like this… But Inoo couldn’t help but wonder a bit…

Inoo pushed himself up from the floor and came to sit next to Daiki. He leaned to press a small kiss on Daiki’s lips before sitting up straight again. “Hn, what about Dai-chan then..?”

Daiki tilted his head a bit confused. “What about me?”

“You said it was okay, after I said why I wanted to kiss you…” Inoo said, maybe feeling a little shy asking. “Why did Dai-chan say it was okay then?”

Daiki stared at Inoo for a little while, blinking a few times before he blushed. “Well… just that… Inoo-chan saying he did that because he liked me, that’s a good reason…” Daiki said, clearly a bit evasive, and he wasn’t looking at Inoo either.

“So it doesn’t matter who it is who’d kiss you then, if they said it was because they liked you?” Inoo asked, narrowing his eyes without even noticing. He was suddenly feeling really annoyed. He shouldn’t have asked that after all…

“Baka!” Daiki said, turning his head so that he could look at Inoo. “Of course not! Inoo-chan is… Inoo-chan is different…” Daiki said, his voice suddenly getting quieter, and Inoo could see the blush coming back on the younger boy’s face.

“Hn, really..?” Inoo asked, the annoyance gone and replaced with a somewhat content feeling, maybe a little bit of pride mixed to it. “In that’s case it’s okay then…”

“Don’t go imitating what I said before!” Daiki said, being the one to sound annoyed now, and pouted his lips. He seemed to be about to say something more than that too, but before he could have the chance, Inoo had moved his hand behind Daiki’s neck, and pulled the younger boy into a kiss.

Inoo held his hand behind Daiki’s neck, keeping the boy close in the kiss. Not that he probably needed to, because he could feel Daiki melting into the kiss and leaning closer, clearly not caring about his previous annoyance or Inoo’s teasing. Inoo moved his other hand on Daiki’s waist, pulling the smaller boy’s body closer to himself before moving to lay down on the bed, pulling Daiki with him so that they were both on the bed on their sides, still kissing.

“And don’t call baka, okay?” Inoo said when breaking the kiss, smiling at Daiki laying next to him.

“If you don’t say baka things I don’t have to,” Daiki said simply, sticking his tongue out at Daiki.

“Brat…” Inoo said, but before Daiki could come up with a response to that - Inoo was sure Daiki had one ready for a comment like that - he leaned back towards Daiki to kiss him. Really, kissing Daiki seemed to prove a really effective way to shut Daiki up, Inoo thought a little amused. Not that he would say that to Daiki…

THE END

...Yeah, the rollercoaster didn't really have anything to do with the whole fic XD Just some excuse for InooDai cuteness~<3 Oh, and I love adding those little bits random info I've gotten from interviews etc in my fics XD (Like in this one Daiki not liking onigiri with pickled plum, or Inoo preferring rice over bread for example.) I have no idea how Daiki likes FPS games but seeing how he's not too good with haunted houses, at least it'd be believable! I suck at FPS games so much! (Never tried any of the Doom games tho. I was watching the movie when writing that part so there comes that idea XD)

Please leave a comment~ No idea which fic I'll be writing next! I have almost a dozen fics on the way with no time to write XD; *should be writing another essay right now*
