Phew! I think I've done just about all the unpacking I can do tonight, and it shouldn't hurt to leave a few things boxed up until morning, so long as my roommate doesn't mind when she gets back. It feels enough like home now, with my bed dressed in familiar colors and a few precious keepsakes out to brave this foreign place with me. Still, I can't help but wonder if I'll be able to get to sleep; I'm not used to going to bed without talking to Kazu on the phone....I feel like tomorrow is important, though, so I hope I can. Even if there aren't any classes, there's a lot to do: things to pick up and places to explore and people to meet. I also want to see if I can get an appointment to meet with Dr. Hojo and Dr. Crescent, since I will probably be studying under them both a lot for the next few years and I'd like to get off to a good start.

Oh! I guess I should introduce myself. I've never done anything like this before and I have to admit I feel a little silly using this to say hello to everyone, but I just arrived from Tokyo this afternoon and I'm exhausted. Forgive me! Hopefully we can all meet in person sometime soon!
