Well, the National Television Awards brought its fair share of surprises...

- We missed the first twenty or so minutes - I didn't even know it was on tonight - but FUCKING HELL WHAT OMG. Matt Littler, aka Max off of Hollyoaks, aka the underdog in the Outstanding Serial Drama Performance category, aka God I hope he wins because he really, really deserves it, ONLY BLOODY WENT AND WON. Christ, I almost cried.

- Top Gear winning Best Factual Program wasn't really a surprise, but having The Stig go up and accept the award was brilliant. He even had a little bowtie on! ♥

- Mr. Tennant accepted his award for Outstanding Drama Performance via satellite during the interval of Hamlet, and also announced that 2009 will be his last year as the Doctor. Sort of saw it coming, but didn't expect it to be announced right there and then. :(
