So, I have to admit I was a huge fan of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series. I reread the first three book several times. (By several read about ten each.) Of course I really enjoy that genre as well, so it was right up my alley. Like everyone else I waited with baited breath (and impatienceness, yea not a word live with it) especially since I'm cheap and didn't get same day shipping. So it finally gets here, and I start reading immediately. My husband and I already had an understanding that when it got there I would be going under and not coming up for air for several hours.

Ended up not working that way. I actually had to struggle my way through it. Why do you say? Because it was AWFUL!! All the progress the characters had made regressed. And she tied everything up in this great big freaking bow. I mean one of the great things about the series was there was no way to be completely happy, and through that there were struggles and growth, and great tests of character. And that all went down the toilet. Or even more aptly down the outhouse.

A week after I finished it I turned to my husband and said "I think I might sell my books, I can't enjoy them any more. The last book just ruined them all for me. I can't undo the knowledge I have now." He has convinced me to hold on to them for a year and if I still feel that way he will support me in selling them.

So why am I ranting about this now? Because I have yet to find someone who isn't so enamored with the big bow that they don't see that the book blows chunks.

And with that in mind: Kim Harrison's White Witch, Black Curse is out in February, book 7 of the Hollow's series.
