I'm updating again; I'm trying to get into the habbit of posting more often, so I'll see how thatgoes. Spectrum is almost done!!!! It's going to the printer next week, and I am sooo bored. They are doing layout and design, like looking at photos, deciding fonts, ETC, so I can't really do anything. When they have envelopes or bags to stuff, I do that, but I feel so unproductive!!! Spanish is blah; I've had to scan my books for that class again because something happened to them when my comp crashed. It has crashed three times this semester, and I'm thinking of getting a second laptop or a small desktop. What do you think. Pros and cons of macs vs. windows laptops? I've wanted a mac for awhile, but I don't know. Marriage and Family is good; I love Dr. Samson, and I always look forward to that class. I am now a duel major, just declared sociology as my second major along with journalism. After next semester, I'll have 21 soc credits already, so I might as well go to 36. First Aid is the same, nice, short, and to the point. It will be good to be certified. Cells,, Genes, Molcules is as horrible as usual; I got an 84 on my last test!!!! I'm sooo excited because it was mitosis and meiosis and all of those phase things, and it was so confusing. I ride again tomorrow, an there is a horse show Sunday. The whole team has to go, and we are leavig at 3:30 Am. I am definitely layering. I love the horses; tacking and grooming them is peaceful and relaxing, like rooming the dog, so I love it. I'm still riding western, and hopefully next semester, I can start riding English. I have to go to the homecoming parade Saturday for aPhiO and Spectrum to walk and handout candy. It will be good to see how Zorro does with all of the drunk crazy people and the noise. I'll see if I can go with Autumn. Her dog was put to sleep today because of stomach cancer, o that's sad.
My hands, shoulders, and hips are hurting again, and the cold isn't helping. I should go to a doctor to see what's wrong with them, since they have been bothering me for awhle, but public transportation sucks. It took over an hour for the cab to come, and they are just downtown!!!! Is there anything I can do to help with joint pain; I don't like tylenol or anything like that; it makes me tired ETC, so something nonmedicinal would be good. My shoulder hurts from continuous motion, like when I curry the horse; the continuous circles for a couple of minutes or the long strokes with the brush are uncomfortable, and if i carry a small box, when I uncurl my fingers, it takes a few seconds to not be stiff enough to move them. Zorro is jumping on people while he is in harness!!!! I don't know what started this, but he has been doing it for a few weeks, and I don't know how to get him off. I try to have him touch and c/t, but if it is someone he really likes, it doesn't help. I only c/t when all of his paws are on the ground, not if he is still up and touching. Oh, and I was working with a dog trainer to help with Zorro in general, like being able to work around animal distractions; he is a lot better at it now, but now it's the people that are a problem. He called Seeing Eye because Zorro wasn't listening at all, jumping on people, trying to chase a cat, ETC, and the TSE people called to yell at me!!! WTF!!!! They said I needed to uuse the choke chain that they gave me, and that I should have listened whn shannon came to help me in September instead of using the martingale collar and harness that I bught from Julie. What the hell; It's my equipment, my dog, and I *don't* like their stuff. I *hate* the metal collar, and their leather harness is too heavy, and the handle doesn't come off. Als, when Zorro pulls hard in that harness, it causes wrist pain, so I like the nylon harness better. The TSE trainer suggested buying extra choke chains and keeping one in my bag because she said he should wear one at all times,so I can give a correcton. Whatever!!!! All I can say its thank god i own my dog, and TSE can't do anything about it if I don't take their suggestions. I like their ownership policy and stuff, but sometimes, they are so patronizing or something. And jus because this sounds so negative about my dog, which I'm not most of the time, he did an awesoe job for me at the breast cancer walk last week. Autumn and I ended up being separated from the group because Zorro had to poop, and when he has to poop, he *refuses* to move forward. So I parked him, and I had Zorro walk as fast as he could go and he did an awesome job stopping for the curbs, which was a problem before, and not walking me ooff of the edge of the sidewalk or stoppin to sniff. Autumn was running to keep up with us lol. We finlly caught up with the rest of the group closer to the end, but she could always see them; I haven't walked like that for a long time, and it was good to move like that again, even if I was out of breath towards the end. They do not know everything just because they are a dog school. Blah!!! ok rant over now; I'm going back to scanning. |
