Dear CSI:NY hacks,
Fuck you with a loaded sawed-off.
So, remember that Classical Mythology paper I wrote a few weeks back, the one that was eleven pages rather than the allotted five?
I went to pick up my first exam after class today, and while Dr. Hot is giving it to me, he oh-so-casually says, "It's not posted yet, but I wanted you to know that you received a 100 on your first essay. It was absolutely superb."
"Thank you," I say.
"No, thank you."
You bet your sweet ass I did the Snoopy dance of joy as soon as I was out of sight.
This is the second time this has happened to me. A few years ago, an English professor I adored asked for eight pages on five Hemingway stories as a final exam. I gave him thirty. When I picked up the exam the following semester, there was a 99 on the top, but Dr. Fenstermaker said, "It would've been a 100, but I couldn't bear to write the number."
Overachieving has its perks.
In fandom news, I'm making serious hay on my spn_halloween fic. I'm not sure it'll be finished in time to be posted to the community proper by November 6th, but it will get finished and posted, and that's a welcome change from a week ago, when I thought this plotbunny might die before it ever left the nursery.
Flackbun is righteously indignant that he's not the golden bun right now, but given the recent spate of promo stills on TalkCSI, he's lucky he's not on his way to the keychain factory. |
